I watched episodes 8 and 9 back-to-back so I'm not sure I can remember what happens in each. I do think this was the best episode of the series so far. Heartbreak, horror and repulsion.
Capt. Fitzjames's death was very sad. I really liked the friendship that he and Crozier formed. Mr. Hickey has gotten out-of-hand crazy. He was one of those scheming villains that you are intrigued by, but once he stars knifing people and then eating them, he can't be dismissed soon enough. Since he's quit the bottle, Capt. Crozier is an almost flawless leader.
After so many spineless characters played by Tobias Menzies, I think this is the first time I've come to care for one of them. Fitzjames' final moments were heartwrenching. Oh, and fuck Mr. Hickey!
First Contact broke my heart. This show makes me feel sick, and I enjoy it.
The most heartbreaking episode of the show, I'm so pissed for the realness of it. And the whole Alex/McCullough /Zelda /Piper thing is getting on my nerves
But Fig is great for getting the pill for that woman, she's the real MVP
The writers left too many character arcs unfinished this season. I hope Netflix doesn’t cancel the show, because I’d be pretty pissed if this is where we left off.
I mean what’s with Debbie’s eating disorder storyline from episode 3? It never gets addressed again.
And what’s with Tammé’s back problems? I know she’s managing now instead of wrestling, but we didn’t really get to see anything of that yet.
Ruth and Sam just ended on an argument, we didn’t get any closure on what’s going on between them, not even involving Russell.
Sheila is my second favorite after ruth. Last scene made me happy and sad at the same time
I mean, Jonas wouldn't be the only guy on TV who has a thing for his aunt #justsaying
Also, what's up with this show and people just casually standing under downpours? Like, not only does it rain a crazy amount in that town, but people just love standing outside without even wearing waterproof clothes. Do they enjoy getting soaked? What's up with that?
And what's up with Franziska? She has so much anger inside of her.
it’s really funny and it also has some great messages
