Felt more like a series finale than a season finale.
I didn’t like the reveal of Lady Whistledown so soon.
The timeline of Polin morning after the wedding (the one with the reveals and threats from Cressida) didn’t match with what was going on with Benedict: was it morning or night? And why cut between the two stories?
Unlike season 1, where Benedict discovering himself and questioning his sexuality felt natural and sexy, this season was boring and forced.
This has been the most underwhelming season so far (even though I like the visibility that Nicola Coughlan received with it, she seems like an amazing person and a talented actress).
There were too many stories shrinked into these few episodes, which resulted in not enough screen time for the more interesting ones (or the leading Polin line, for one). I did not care enough about the Mondrichs and especially not for Benedict's adventures. Even though I love the raciness of Bridgerton (rightfully called horny Downton Abbey lol) and there weren't many intimate scenes this season, I was uninterested in Benedict's sex craze, it was off-putting for some reason.
I have grown to love Francesca and this new actress. I did not understand her reaction to Lord Kilmartin's cousin though - maybe they are prepping for their storyline next season, but the reaction was very out of place for me.
I truly cannot express in words how much I adore Lady Violet Bridgerton She’s so gentle, loving, adorable and vibrant; her scenes always make me smile <3
P.S. Colin has seriously been giving such small d*ck energy lately:rolling_eyes:
Mama Featherington is very cute at the beginning with her -subtle- tiptoeing. I really love the Bridgerton humor. I don't know how much of it is scripted and to what amount it's improvisation from the actors, but it is working well.
'You can write about the sheep!!!'
Oh and even though I don't like Cressida at all, that red vengeance outfit slayed
OH MY GAAAAHD:weary::heart_eyes: The whole carriage scene was complete and utter perfection!
Also, Francesca and John are actually full-on adorable together! I love how shy and introverted they both are, but immediately feel so comfortable with each other <3
Eloise and Cressida represent the friendship I didn’t think I’d like but have unexpectedly fallen in love with!
P.S. Is there a single person who cares about the Mondrich family?? Cus not me.
omg this episode is insane
Oh the vile carriage drivers! During THE scene, I was just thinking that they must have heard all the panting and were like "oookaaay, let's keep on driving for a bit" but no :D
A lot of different introductions this season! I haven't read the books but it feels like we are getting a glimpse of most the characters' future spouses.
I love the classical rendition of cheap thrills
Colin obsessing over Penelope is what I’ve been waiting for and it certainly doesn’t disappoint! She’s taking over all of his thoughts and he’s going absolutely crazy with it! Honestly, I just love this pining, jealousy arc for him.
Speaking of, that scene between Pen and Colin under the tree was so cute and funny! The way they were both awkwardly babbling and stumbling over their words while making furtive eye-contact trying to gauge the other’s reactions was simply adorable.
That said, my heart is breaking for Lord Debling already!! He’s actually such a sweetheart and I’m dreading the moment he gets rejected. Luckily it does seem like Cresside’s redemption arc will make her into a suitable partner for him though, so I’m happy he’ll probably still have someone in the end <3
I’m also loving Francesca’s storyline so far, and the love at first sight thing she had this episode was pretty cute.
I’m not sure what’s happening with Benedict’s character though, cus why is his plot suddenly wasting time on this random woman?? Where is SOPHIE!?
P.S. I’m so ready for mama Bridgerton to have her own love story!!
Colin flustered, awkward and seething with jealousy because of Pen... oh I am LIVING
This was so wonderful, mainly thanks to the actors, they were truly magnificent, and they are so young! Indeed, it makes me want to watch the whole series again, and even read the books, though it's not my cup of tea usually (the regency stories). So touching. I only wonder what happened to Reynolds, whether the king doesn't have his man now?
Also, I wonder if the older version of King Geroge was played by the same actor as in the brief appearance he had in the series? As I said, it really warrants a re-watch, to see the Queen from a new perspective and have deeper understanding of her motives.
Bawling my eyes out, I can’t man:sob:
that HURT that hurt so much
This episode reached the peak of emotivity. I rarely get emotional with series and this one got me. Queen Charlotte was an annoying character in the original series before I watched this. Now I want to see Bridgerton all over again.
This was so heart wrenching. Well done!
A brilliant and touching ending to this limited series. Well done!
This episode was soooo amazing. Brimsley's devotion, Charlotte bravery and the ability to stand for herself and her king. And the surprising twist that Lady Dunbary was in love with Violet's father is so touching. I wonder if it'll be revealed to Violet in the next last episode and how would she react to that. It took me a while to get into the series and now I'm sad there's only one episode left. This saga is deliciously done peace of TV history, and I'm already excited for season 3 and waiting for a Benedict season.
God that scene with brimsley and charlotte got me:sob: I feel so bad for charlotte :(
Side note: Agatha’s son is so adorable:sob:
The way we have seen the journey of Charlotte slowly losing her smile completely over the course of this series…
"I want to be gardened as much as possible" Violet, you naughty thing!
I love the Brimsley back story and the way he cares for Charlotte. Beautifully done. I hope we see more of Brimsley and Reynolds at some stage
I love this episode because it truly shows that George wasn’t being rude or anything else. It shows how much he loves charlotte and how he wanted to be better for her
That sketchy torturer/Doctor has all kinds of ulterior motives, even given those were the treatments in those days. What is he getting out of all this, anyway?
OMG this is one of the best episodes so far. The business with lord Danbury at the end was epic. And now I get it. We’re witnessing here an adaptation of Marie Antoinette’s drama in her early years. We even had Mozart in scene, which is historically accurate. Daaaaamn I loved it.
When she smiles I go :heart_eyes::kissing_closed_eyes::kissing_closed_eyes::heart::heart:❣❣:kissing_heart::kissing_heart:
