So far I watched countless episodes and series. Never watched something more than once. Except Rick and Morty... Starting my third rewatch right now :D, it is that good! But I can imagine it is not for everyone ;).
As a BB fan am I glad this movie got made? I guess so.
I’m not entirely sure we needed to know this part of the story though.
Some things are better never explained.
scorsese deliberately packaged the final scene as an ambiguous ending, and the key word is "packaged" because it was only made to seem like you could even choose between two endings.....but nope, there's only one true ending and the brilliant storytelling just leaves no argument on that case.
how Shutter Island managed to put me directly in Teddy/Andrew's exact state of mind at that moment of realization was really smart and frightening and I could feel what a delusional mental patient would have felt like right until the ending. it made me doubt my real life for a minute because I realized that it could be happening to me too, I could be unknowingly living a life of lies, and it's because Leo perfectly portrayed Andrew's fear and emotions realistically.
the uncomfortable feeling of insanity and events which did not make sense from the middle of the film already hinted that something wasn't right at all, and it was hella uncomfortable and worrying indeed, like I didn't know if my mind was in the right place, if I was drifting further from the film. the final act completely threw me off. I was so glad it did how it did.
as much as I wished that Andrew could eventually be cured, the poignant result of how he chose his own end tied up Shutter Island with a perfect bow.
This was such a good movie that I'll probably watch it again when it gets closer to Christmas. Feels like an instant Christmas classic!
Loved the idea, the concept and a lot of the allegories and analogies. I guess the child was put there so she could starve and die - the immigrant one at the lowest level by the system. The mother did a lot to try and make the food last to the ground level, she did a lot of nasty things for her child. Maybe I'm reaching here, but I think when the child goes up, she broke the system... Against all odds she made it to the top, a flaw in the matrix that happens almost never in this much beloved capitalism of ours (irony here)
This is the lamest comic book movie in a while. The first act is terrible but once the symbiote finally get to Eddie Brock it picks up. The best part by far is Tom Hardy talking to himself. Everyone else is just bland. The effects are fine but the final fight is just a total CGI fest and kinda dull. This isn't worth paying for but it's worth watching to see Tom Hardy act crazy.
Edit: I did like it a little bit more on rewatch just because Tom Hardy is going all out.
A truly amazing film! Watched it twice in one day. Funny and heart-warming. Fantastic performances from the two male leads.
I don't care what people say... I liked this movie! Sure some bits where predictable but I laughed most of the movie! Just like Baywatch... Don't think to much and just enjoy the movie
I loved this movie. One of the best Christmas movie on my list :christmas_tree:
There are multiple themes and I loved the way all of them are presented. The friendship between Jesper and Klaus, the father/son relationship, the spirituality around Klaus’s wife and his way of dealing with the passing of his wife,...
All the little details that makes this movie a Santa Klaus origin story is gold.
The animation style and the drawings are a bit old school but as soon as you are used to them, you are taken in a wonderful journey.
I really liked S1. It was a good miniseries with a great ending and I thought this season would just be a bad and quick moneygrab by Netflix because of the hype the show got.
And while at times it does seem really fanservicey I still really enjoyed it. I I mean it's pretty much the same as S1. Has similar plot holes and stupide mistakes but there is just something about the characters that made the 8 episodes feel like just 2 or 3 hours.
I love the thought behind this. Valuable history lesson in a futuristic setting
Great mix of funny and dark, serious moments. This has potential to be great.
Such a beautiful drama.. Must watch.
Really don't think I'm the target audience, as I barely knew of this guy, and don't even listen to rap, but I gotta say this show looks like it's going to be great. Writing is excellent, humor is on point, actors are excellent, visuals are top notch.
Got strong Atlanta vibes, and we all know how good that show is.
Glad to have stumble on this show.
