Know how I know you're gay?? Cause you're on trakt
At some points it is absurdly silly to the point where it is kind of annoying, but there are far more parts that are extremely touching and beautiful. Jennifer Connelly is one of the greatest actresses of all time and she carries this movie, even though she's only 16 years old.
It's funny to see bad reviews for this movie, and a lot of criticism towards JJ, but it's clear that all the choices made in this movie was to correct the choices made in The Last Jedi, the movie that was hated by all the fans till yesterday, but now people are praising.
The Rise of Skywalker is a great movie, specially for fans, it's a great way to end this saga, filled with fan service. I don't think I can say more than that without spoiling the experience for everyone.
All the critcs you see here, or on twitter, are coming from people who thinks star wars, a space opera, should be a deep and complex movie with fanfics about romances.
Normally I am a Ricky Gervais fan but I think he confused honesty with saying everything that pops into the character's head. The world created would have been much more believable and entertaining if they toned down the self monologue and focused on normal dialogue being brutally honest.
This movie had a underlining message. Less than a week after someone invented lying religion is born. Basically what Ricky Gervais is saying is that all religions are a lie, i can't say he is wrong though ;). I would have thought that without religion the human race would have advanced much further than what is shown in this movie.
I liked the idea of what is supposed to be a movie in this movie. Some boring guy talking about the events that took place in history, and millions of people watch it in theaters like it is a Harry Potter movie. However the universe in witch this movie is placed seems very VERY boring to me. No tv shows, books, movies or computer games? I get the chills just thinking about it....
Anne Hathaway all the way up, down, to the left, to the right, inside, outside and every direction possible.
Roald Dahl was all about the imagination. This is all about the special effects.
And to be honest, there are some great special effects, occasionally about over the top (I did enjoy the witches mouths!).
But who cast Octavia Spencer as grandma? Or let Anne Hathaway use that accent?
the ending was way too stuart little for me
Horrible. It has been really hard to see the end.
Tatiana Maslany is so underrated, what a brilliant actress.
