Doesn't even come even close to the movie

It is a story set in the shared universe of Parasyte. It is not exactly a retelling or adaptation. You can call it a spin-off if you like. The series actually hinted that right from E01.
Think of it this way, the Parasyte universe clearly explained that the parasytes landed in various locations around the world. This story, set in Korea, is simply one of those locations. For the first time, we are seeing the situation in Korea not told before.
That's what a shared universe is. So it isn't proper to compare it to the story set in Japan because that is just another story in the shared universe of Parasyte.
Have you ever wondered what it was like in the other locations where the Parasytes landed? They can make a spin-off for those locations.

Things just got more fun in this second season, maybe because I've gotten used to the show's format. The cast I must say is incredible - each member brings something different to the table which makes the show really unique. The four of them mesh so well together that you feel nothing but good vibes watching them. Their chemistry is simply amazing. Also, just when you thought you knew everyone's humor and quirks, this season brings you new dimensions of their comedic genius.
Overall great entertainment, deserves all the hype and its high viewership.

@wade-kun Yep! They also did not bring much from S01, they showed us a new version of themselves. They played games differently, too, even though they played it before.
I don't know how much they planned it and how much was realistic, but they did it well. I can't wait for S03 and what new things they will bring to the table.
This is a 2020 series and already finished, so I don't understand why it's listed as 2021 here and in other sites.

Also, it is important to note that the main female character is autistic and as an autistic myself, they did well in portraying an autistic character, a female autistic at that.
