Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: 1x08 The Elysian Kingdom

I miss this type of episodes in Star Trek, I'm glad to see it brought back. Not only that, this was a good way to end the arc of the doctor and his daughter, neatly tied to the book too.

I hope this is not the end of the his daughter's story and they'll revisit her in the next seasons. There are questions to be answered and possibilities to explore regarding the nebula. Was it something like the Prophets in DS9? Time is irrelevant? But they're stuck in one place?

Who knows. But I for one would like to know more about it.

Thank you. I love this episode.

Star Trek: Picard: 3x10 The Last Generation

A very lovely and apt closure to the #TNG + #DS9 + #VOY era. Thank you to all the staff and casts of the TNG+DS9+VOY era for creating a wonderful, memorable, and touching stories about humanity and the possible future. You've been part of my childhood, and seeing all of you for one last time… I have nothing but tears of joy and gratitude.

This is the best way to end that era, and open a new one. I hope the next generation will be as great.

No farewells. Only hope.

The Flash: 9x10 A New World (1)

Finally, they closed the loop. I thought they have forgotten it.

I also love how they finally used the phrase, “it's a fixed point”, because it's tiring to explain that fateful event is, well, a fixed point. It will happen no matter what, and changing it is never an option.

The Time Traveler's Wife: 1x06 Episode Six

This is so far the best episode! I love it! Well done. Superb!!

I especially love how tied in the different time periods through the video while it is also happening at the same time, and the two Henry's switched places.

There's the "fight" time period. Then there's the far future. Then there is the present. While they also revealed how future Henry sang with exact same song with young Clare.

For a time travel story, and a show especially in this case, such connecting scenes are easily not thought of. For the director and writer to have thought something like this, it speaks volume to how much they spent time to perfect this episode.

Simply perfect.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: 1x05 Partings

That was the most epic episode ending I've seen in years. It was like this is the season finale; or the ending of a fantasy film.

I also love the ending theme song for this episode. I hope to find it in streaming services, it's a beautiful song.

I delayed watching ep679 because it's a farewell episode for Jeon So Min, but it is unavoidable as farewells are a part of our lives.

To Miss So Min, thank you for all the laughter you've given us through Running Man. We will definitely miss your unique comedy in the show. As you have said, it was a dream come true for you and congratulations, you did amazing for 7 years!

Keep looking forward as life still has a lot in store for you. Whatever the reason was why you have to bid farewell, remember always to be happy. Family, health, and happiness is a right of every human being.

So, keep running girl! And always wear your genuine smile.

The Atypical Family: 1x09 Episode 9

What a very sad and painful revelation, with the perfect BGM and dialogues.

She kept it all to herself. Like d*mn, kids shouldn't know these things. She became an adult at a very young age and grew up to teenage as any adult would have.

That's so d*mn messed up.

I'm sorry, there just isn't any word to describe and express it. Kids should be protected from these things. It's so painful and sad.

“I'm a monster!”
“I never should've been born!”

The ultimate question: Are their powers a blessing or a curse?

And Ina came to the conclusion that their powers are a curse, and grew up to teenager that way, their powers are a curse. They are monsters.

I repeated the scenes 7 times. They should give the writer, director, and actors, the best awards for this episode.

Daily Dose of Sunshine: 1x01 The Darkest Hour Is Just Before the Dawn

Wow. This is actually very, very good! It shares enough information about mental illnesses, makes you have some basic and updated understanding, and doesn't focus on medicines, but more on how to deal and communicate with people. Yes, people, not “abnormals”.

Because that's how we should treat everyone, as people, as human beings. And I applaud them for that, and this is just episode 01.

True to Love: 1x05 A Cold Is Incurable

Yoo In Na deserves the Best Actress award for this show, especially for episode 05. She perfectly captured and portrayed a person who loves their ex deeply, gave everything, and only to be dumped later for someone else.

It was as if Yoo In Na experienced it herself. She cried naturally, was she still acting? She showed her character's desperation, she shook, her body movements and facial expressions were exactly what it is in real life.

And that's just the character she's playing. We haven't even started talking how great the show is in pacing and focusing on what a person goes through when heartbroken. From break-ups, refusing to accept their new reality, to moving-on, and to picking the pieces of their broken heart. And we're only at episode 5 and 6.

100 out of 10 stars.

True to Love: 1x03 The End of a Pathetic Relationship

An episode that is truly based on true-to-life break-ups and relationships. A must watch.

99% of what was depicted in this episode re: break-up and signs, were very similar, if not exactly the same, that happened between me and my ex-gf after 15 years together. The only difference, I was Bo Ra and she was Bo Ra's ex-bf.

Tomorrow: 1x06 A Soul Becomes a Star

Thank you very much for Episode 6. Our grandfather never received the respect and honour he deserves as a WW2 veteran, he and many other veterans like him, were denied the benefits, financial support, respect, and honour when they continued on with their lives.

Institutions, politicians, and governments, only paid lip service and delayed the bills that could have given them proper support. Yes, the bills eventually became laws but only after most of the veterans already passed away. They wouldn't even give posthumous awards, promotions, and/or recognition.

Thank you very much for Episode 6. It may be dedicated for the Korean War veterans, but it resonates very powerfully with all war veterans in all countries, if not for them, majority of us wouldn't be enjoying the life we have today.

Running Man: 2023x678 The Dream of a Million Dollars

Episode 678 of Running Man was so very funny. This is the type of episode I miss from the team since Lee Kwang Soo left; natural and all laughter.

However, do not miss episode 679 because it is the farewell episode for Jeon So Min. This episode was filmed on Monday, 2023-10-30 and will air on Sunday evening of 2023-11-12.

See you next week, Miss So Min!

See You in My 19th Life: 1x12 The One Who Tied the Knot Must Untie It

Series finale = a different kind of heart-wrenching ending. It was so painful.

I just watched the ending part twice now, and I still can't imagine myself willing to let go of all those memories. It is what made who we are today. It defined our life. The decisions and directions we took. The love and relationships that gave us strength to push on despite the hardships in life.

Memories are everything.

Without those memories, then you become a totally different person. And for those people who still have their memories of you intact, it will be very hard for them when they see you. They will have to treat you as a person who got into an accident and had memory loss.

Familiar with real-life stories where a person loss memories before they met their spouse/bf/gf? It's not the person that finds it hard, it is those who remembers. If they choose to tell you the memories you've lost, that's the only time it will be harder for the person. Like in those real-life cases where they're already married. But if you're just bf/gf, you can still end it and have a fresh start… if you want to.

Joseon Attorney: A Morality: 1x14 Episode 14

Episode 14 was 98% I imagined it to be. It was so powerful. If I was the writer and/or director, it's how I would have written it and directed it.

Perfect!

1. The bury/grave scene, I would have chosen to let him lie down on top of her grave, let him cry out a little bit more and fall asleep. But lying parallel is enough because that's exactly what I want in that scene, for him to fall asleep.

2. He cried his heart out. He deserves Best Actor for that scene.

3. The winter vs spring scenes side-by-side, best director/writer/editing (whoever thought of it). That was so powerful.

4. The combination of #2 and #3 was pierced my heart.

5. Attorney Kang giving in to sorrow was exactly what I wanted.

6. The Princess getting sick, same, what I want.

7. The Princess marrying Yoo's son, exactly what I want to happen.

8. Yoo resigning from his position, same thing.

The entire episode was perfect. I love it. 100 out of 10 stars.

Fringe: 4x11 Making Angels

Season 04 Episode 11 of Fringe featured the meeting of the two Agent Astrid Farnsworth, one an autistic and the other neurotypical.

This episode aired on 2012-02-04 and entitled “Making Angels”.

The autistic Agent Astrid Farnsworth came from the “Amber World” (the parallel world), and the NT Astrid is from the “Prime World” (our world basically).

The character is, I would say “basic” as far as portrayal of an autistic person. Some would say it's a stereotype. But I like her nonetheless because it was not exaggerated, and the focus was not on her autism instead it was about her many skills.

And in this episode, we saw through her that autistic people are humans too. That we have our own struggles, we do cry and feel emotions (contrary to the claims that we lack it), and we just want to live like everyone else.

The autistic Astrid was introduced in season 2 (2009–2010). The actress, Jasika Nicole, was praised for her performance of both the neurotypical and the autistic Agent Astrid.

How about you, what do you think of her character? How was the performance (specifically with autistic Astrid)?

The Last of Us: 1x03 Long, Long Time

Wow. The best episode I've seen in 2023. Perfect editing, scene order, and sequences. Not overboard, not lacking. That ending, the song, the car scene, the sunset, and most especially, the scene going back to the room through the window = wonderfully made! Perfect!
