Agreeing with everyone, it is very gritty and raw in the best way, it is like canned chaos at times and I am here for any part of that lol
This is such a good story, about how things can go so well until Greed and I'm sure Mr Nice would say himself, when Greed comes into the equation. Great cast, seriously alot of oh yeah them moments in the movie throughout, it's not as good as Blow with JD as it has a lot more emotion throughout, but this is a very good movie 7/10
Amazing film, it is like a snapshot into the moment, very vivid left me feeling like someone had punched me in the gut, it's a very emotional movie, cast are fantastic, as we know events like these are very realistic in our society today, and that's what makes it such a sting to watch
Like many commenting, I also never thought you could get a heartwarming story like that, with the subject matter, Ryan Gosling really knocked it out of the park as usual!
Amazing, great acting, great storyline, and of course I was one of those that seen the Departed first, and I still love the film, but this is equally as good and better in other areas, however the departed also is better in other areas. Its a win win situation the chance to watch either, and unlike the departed there is a 2 follow up movies to enjoy.
I really liked it. It had humour throughout, great cast, and of course, the story is crazy. 7.5 would be the more appropriate rating, and it's certainly one I would recommend to family and friends
Amazing concept, the look of the movie is on point, but it just doesn't hit like it should, it feels like it could be something special, just never quite pays off, would recommend still though, the ending is very scenic
Listen this movie is not bad, and the acting is not bad, the camera work is not bad, but something is not right, it does not work, this is down to bad writing, the actors can only do so much, the story could have been so much better, shame as it is a cool concept
Wow what can I say, actually finished watching it speechless, I thought after the first couple of scenes oh no, I don't think I will be emotionally attached to the main character, I was wrong she was amazing, and I don't think if someone wrote the script down would i think it could be executed or even watchable, so many questions
Amazing movie the reason it gets a 7 rather than an 8 is due to the R scene, that was just very raw and I really hated it had to look away several times and think about the act of watching it, even though its fake it was awful in so many ways, no spoilers but it's sickening in so many ways, and painful to watch the actions of the repercussions.
Great movie, shows the argument between the haves and haves nots, and if society was turned on its head and people had the fend for themselves. From the quotes of Capotalism vs Socialism and the pretty surface society, I think it was just a good insight into life, enjoyed it
I really liked it the message is clear and so apparent for today, it actually was uncomfortable how relatable the issue would be, I enjoyed it and will rematch in the distant future for sure
