@zdistrict However, they are mere remnants of humanity many hundreds of years after most of humanity was slaughtered, so they are no priority to the safeguard until Killy and Cibo appear. Additionally, they are hiding and protected decently well anyway. How and why should any of the characters acted more quickly?

The Matrix in anime form and CGI which was a bit too slow for my taste. I do love certain CGI like Appleseed but this just didn't have the right tempo. Machines are wiping out the human race but there was a slight disconnect in the story and it was seriously just too slow.
