@mcolombo76 Elijah's sireline already died in Season 4 when he was killed by the Hollow (before being resurrected). All remaining vampires are part of either Klaus' or Rebekah's sirelines.
Actually, it was Klaus's line that was severed. They spell was interrupted before Elijah's line could be severed.

The only problem was killing Elijah. Since many vampires are still sired to him, shouldn't they die off? I only mention because of the upcoming sequel. I know that Klaus's sire was severed in a previous season. Not consistent. Should have kept him alive.
