I first saw the trailer to the movie and decided to go for it. The storyline seemed to be pretty simple judging by the trailer only. At the beginning of the movie, the characters were being introduced, so it was easy to follow the plot. The cast was made up of great actors and my expectations of these were clearly met. The first couple of minutes, I thought that the movie was another one of these stereotypical chick flicks: There was the fat protagonist, there was the ambitious, rather neurotic and bitchy woman, there was the promiscuous woman mad at the world, and there was the stereotypically "dumb" and shallow one. It seemed to be predictable that some characters were meant to be "the bad ones" and others would be the "good ones". I was surprised by the outcome of the movie. It showed that everyone has their good and bad sides and that everyone is struggling, despite of how we look or act. If you just want to watch an amusing enough film and switch off your brain, that is okay. However, the movie has a lot to offer and delivers a great message. I definitely don't regret having watched it and I'd rate it a 7/10.
