I wanted to check this with other ppl, once I haven't seen it mentioned in any other review: was it just me or jackson's behavior towards ally on the first half lacks a little respect of consent? He takes out her Piaf eyebrow minutes after he met her, which made me see him as a creep; he carries her out of the bar fight; demands her to sing whenever he feels like; shows the fuck up to places she is (or sends people to); it made it really hard for me to romanticize this affair, even if they had amazing chemistry.
I can't really add anything other reviewers below me have already said. Germanotta owns this film and it wouldn't be the success it is without her.
