I must admit, I was a little skeptical going into it, but this film was great! Within the first 10 minutes, I knew this was going to be great. The acting and chemistry between Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga is electric. The live performances were masterful, they were filled in such a way, that made you feel like you were right there in the audience. The original songs are actually quite good. It was such a wise decision to cast someone like Lady Gaga, who has such a natural talent, when it comes to singing. Even though the movie is over 2 hours, I wish it was longer, because these characters & story are so interesting. The only thing I didn't like was the arch of Lady Gaga's character when she starts to build her solo career, it felt way to cheesy and predictable. Also in conjunction with this, it only gave her character a few minutes of redemption or growing at the end. Bradley Cooper did an amazing job in his directorial debut.
