Hotel Artemis 2018

There's not a lot of depth to the characters here -- not even to the few who have a third dimension. Nonetheless, the main characters do a good job with what they're given. The plot is paper-thin, as well, giving the impression that no one wanted to let too much get in the way of the set pieces. Case in point: all of the buildup to the introduction of the Big Bad, who promptly drops a Big Secret before promptly expositioning it in all its simplicity and then promptly being killed. No twists, no turns, no red herrings, and certainly no time to ponder any deeper meaning to it all. On the bright side, I liked the mood/tone of the thing and the production values.
