"Here's to Jack"

I had no words at the beginning of the episode. I swore I had to check the clock twice because I thought I had slept in and woke up at the end of the episode. When Dean said "he died" I didn't process anything, so I wasn't properly understanding what the hell was going on.

That's got to be the best episode this season so far. I find it hard to think about something that I didn't like. Well, yeah, I will never forget the writers for killing Jack in the first place. It helped move thing along but I'll hold a grudge forever.

The episode was quite strong and emotional, and a lot of interesting things happened.

First of all, Lily Sunder! Hell yeah! If there was a secondary character that I'd loved to see again that's her. I found her so freaking interesting when she was first introduced. She's such an interesting character and I am so damn glad she could be with her daughter again. Despite her tragic backstory, her last scene with Anubis was heartwarming. At least someone in this show gets to have a happy ending.

Jack dying, Sam broken, the boys and Cas mourning, Lily's problems and then Kelly appears. As if I needed anything else to punch me right in the feelings. I love Kelly. And by love I mean adore. She brings something special to the show and her acting is on point. I can't believe how my eyes are triggered when she appears on scene. Damn, she's such a great actress and her scenes with Jack were absolutely lovely.

It was damn time that the Heaven situation got addressed. Every time they say that if something attacks them, they'll lose because they haven't got enough angels to fight back and that if that happens all the souls will roam free, my skin crawls. I can't think of something more horrible than that. I don't actually hate Naomi (which is weird after what she did to Cas), but she's a bit gray when it comes to Cas. I'm a bit mad we didn't get to see her being the Empty. That would've been fun. That is such an interesting character to watch and, despite it being eventually a bit tiresome, I'd love to watch different members of the cast playing it. Btw, I loved Erica Cerra's actng. It was nice to see Duma again. And her acting as the Empty was on point. She nailed that psychotic part. I wish we cpould've seen a bit more.

When I first saw that black goo in Heaven I thought, Venom! THen I thought to myself, well, isn't it convenient that Lucifer got to wake up last episode? I wasn't even convinced that was the Empty until they explained it better. I thought that was Lucifer who somehow needed Jack's powers to fully wake up. In fact, maybe Lucifer made a deal with the Empty to go chasing Jack until he got resurrected. Like, maybe Jack is needed to bootstrap Luci into Nick's body.

And, on top of that. we got a bit more of lore. Anow, that ANubis guy was actually quite interesting and fair. He was cool and not a dick, which is a nicce addition to the show. "Say hello to your daughter for me". I loved his final scene. Damn, it was such a beautiful moment. Can we have more moments like this on the show, please? And not just scenes where I found myself out of tissues within the first 5 minutes? Anyway, I hope we see a bit more of him in future episodes. I liked how they got to explain that Death and the reapers work in relation to who gets to Heaven and who to Hell.

The first few minutes of the episode were just plain confusion to me. Jack is so damn cute and sweet that I get mad even if the wind hits his face. His "don't be sad" and "it's going to be an adventure" were lovely. When he talks about that stuff, I find myself making the same noise as when a cute little pet does something. And then, just like that he's gone. Nice people don't last long on this show, unfortunately. On the other side of things, he's now a true Winchester. He died and got brought back again. If there was something he missed in his total transformation into a Winchester, there it goes. Yeah, he seems fairly ok but I swear I'll hold a gruedge for the rest of my life. You don't get to kill a sweet innovent kid just like that expecting me not to be mad about it. Speaking of the kid. Maybe I missed something, but I don't recall any of the boys directly calling Jack "my kid", which was a heartwarming moment.

"After whiskey number five, it hit me". Sam, never change.

Also, I loved Dean's reaction to seeing Lily. "You got old". Dean Winchester, ever the charmer.

After seeing Kelly's door in Heaven I wondered about Mary's. Do you guys think she has a door anymore? Adn if so, what are the dates? 1954-1983? or 1954-2016? Or does it have like a footnote explaining it? Kind of like her profile in the British Men of Letters, like "see attach files".

After Cas' deal with the Empty I'm actually nervous. For once in my life, I don't even want to see the resemblance of a smile in his face. I don't want to see his happiness be taken away. Poor guy never catches a break.

And, we also got Michael's location, I was thinking Naomi was gonna say Michael was still inside Dean but hearing Dean saying they've got his location made me doubt. I still think that there's some part of Michael inside of him (maybe even a dormant Michael), or that at least he left something as a failsafe to occupy his vessel whenever he pleases. Now let's just wait and find it. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of Dark Kaia and seeing Jack and her interacting. THat'll be real nice. I can't wait to know Michael's whereabouts.

Just one question that has been bothering me for the last couple of episodes, where the hell are the rest of the hunters? I mean, at the beginning of the season we got a whole bunch of them jsut laying around and now, somehow they just disappeared. I get that their hunter network is working, but they vanished way too fast for my liking, and I was thinking maybe a couple of them (that vest lady and Maggie, perhaps) but they just vanished, right when Dean reappeared. Interesting.

Overall, best episode this season so far. I can't wait for the mid-season finale. Besides Jack dying (I'm still mad that even happened), I can't find a but to this episode. Seeing Kelly again was a nice surprise and whenever she appeares on scene with Jack, I absolutely love it.
