A teen romance that is more about relationship than hooking up. It has an intimacy of conversation that separates it from the Hollywood teen movies that present the teen years as little else than sex, alcohol and partying. I like that this could be a play. Britt Robertson is at her best here and the chemistry with Dylan O'Brien is fresh and welcomed. The fact that it condensed the "firsts" to a weekend was more of a storytelling device than a statement, I thought, since what I felt distinguished this story was that the attraction was personality centred rather than heat seeking and the awkwardness was in navigating a course between those two forces.
