@misnomer I think he was trying to avoid the whole Jessica situation entirely. Also, he only had a few minutes to do what he needed to do. Wyatt, as obsessed as he is, would've known nearly the exact time Jessica was left on her own in 2012. I doubt any of them checked their watch in the middle of that shoot-out, which was the only time prior to Rufus dying that they knew for sure where Jessica was. That's my guess anyway...

Why didn't Flynn go back to 1848? Was it because with Rufus now alive again there wouldn't be enough room in the time ship for them all? They could have done two trips and carry the whole team to the present that way... Maybe I'm missing something, but that didn't make sense to me.
