Feels a bit like Dallas or Dynasty but with more violence. Otherwise similar with the two families being at each others throat. Production is great. Both, Costner and Paxton, deliver very good performances. No weak spot in the supporting cast either. I am no native english speaker, so I had some difficulties with the dialogue at times. But I can't blame the show for that, can't I ? And there are things like subtitles. But here are the weak spots: It is very repetitive. Pretty much he did, we do, all the time. And you don't sympathize with either side. Both family heads are thickheaded idiots who think that only they are on the right side of things. And with their ideals and opinions they are poisoning the minds of their whole family. Now, I know this is based on real facts but you kind off wish for them both to drop dead. Not a waste of time by any means but also not highly recommended from where I stand.
