Gay people don't give 'signals' they are just people. And there is this thing where some people like both genders. You know maybe you should look that up too.
Also, angels don't even have a gender. Castiel could have just as easily chosen a female body.

IMHO, I don't think how or why Castiel chose to get happy was coming out or romantic. And, I don't even wanna think the writers were performing any fan service by double entendre code ...jeez, WHY would People even pick Dean for that kind of scenario (NOT THAT EITHER OF THE THREE GIVE THOSE SIGNALS, BUT...) Dean was always getting one night stands, while Sam wouldn't...unless it was a real relationship, like with a woman and a dog.
