This pilot provides a decent beginning and the seeds of a good mystery, but a lot of the incidental dialogue comes across as just trying too hard. In retrospect, it seems that they were trying to plant some doubts about the seemingly charming and wonderful husband, but the way that it was done was just a bit too clunky.
