I get that the story itself is rather moving especially for certain countries, but the whole thing where they announce the news of the king is a bit too... hollywood-esque for me. They show it like the whole world suddenly erupts in mourning over one dead (sick and old...) king. No matter how important the English king, there's a lot of other kings and emperors out there, dead or alive, and most people outside of the country of their reign don't usually care quite as much. Not emotionally anyway. So having announcers from Germany, France... China?... be this affected... I don't believe it. And maybe back in the days it would be a huge headliner all over the world news, but I doubt it would be like that nowadays. Once the crowned ones get old, you should be able to expect them to die within a certain time... no?
But uh, great shots in Africa, still not a huge fan of the deliberate ways they're trying to make them look like heroes (elephant, engine).
The last scenes accompanied by the speech brought the value this episode had for me up again. Weak start, strong ending.
