sorry, not a fan so far, that was 5% action and 95% filler, i don't need to see Sam and Bucky's personal lives. the first episode should come out swinging and this did not do that. and what the hell was that at the end of the episode? looks like they grabbed some random guy off the street and stuck a Captain America costume on him, guy looks like a dweeb. not impressed, hope they do better and they only have 5 episodes left

@quasar1967 Agreed, as a very casual watcher of the "universe", I barely found any interest in these ... side characters. This is mostly on me but, firstly I have no clue who Buckley is, and secondly Falcon feels like another run-of-the-mill "dude" with a billion dollar gadget suit (Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man ... how many more can there be? Basically with no real powers of his own).

Obviously you can't make everyone happy, but for casuals this felt like it was one hot mess of a show: barely know who these guys are, not sure what the story is supposed to be about (some faction stealing money and up to no good ? And who was the soldier in the intro sequence ? Then the Falcon begging the bank for a loan ? What is this, a CW family drama ?

All in all, extremely tepid and meh show for now.

@quasar1967 >looks like they grabbed some random guy off the street and stuck a Captain America costume on him, guy looks like a dweeb

That's the fng point!

@alexnader You know, maybe the show's not really for you if you don't care about important characters and can't remember who they are from the MANY movies they've already been in...

@thunderztormdk I willingly admitted that that was my fault. They were churning out so many movies I could barely fit them in everything else I was watching. I was simply hoping there would be a bit of a refresher somewhere in the episode, but no. Now what ? I gotta go watch at minimum three 2-3h movies to keep up ? Sorry, got too much other stuff to watch; so was just giving others a fair warning.

@alexnader Or you could watch the legends series and the 8 minute episode they put out for people like you who weren't paying attention to what was going on when you watched it.

@alexnader just curious here. Why did you choose to watch it through? On what premise did they get you?

I have a similar passing knowledge of Star Wars movies and had no interest in Mandalorian. And eventually chose to see it thanks to reviews praising it visuals (and new technic used in Mandalorian), the actor that I liked in GoT played the main role and finally many people in my circle compared it to videogame set up that was done right.

Was it only promise of action in your case or was there something else?

@quasar1967 That's the entire point. He's supposed to look like someone not worthy of the Captain America mantle.

@quasar1967 That was US agent man
