Shout by Caesar

976-EVIL 1988

A supernatural slasher with a goofy central premise but not so great in execution. I was expecting more. The film moves dreadfully slow and is an incoherent mess. Quite understandable considering it's Robert Englund's directorial debut. It has made-for-cable look to it and not as fun as it sounds. I find the first half of the film more engaging, before it delves into a pretty lame demonic possession/slasher. It's horribly paced, poorly put together, and even I feel like some characters belong in a completely different film. It's worth tracking down though despite its many faults. Stephen Geoffreys' performance is entertaining and some neat practical effects made it quite enjoyable.
