@seanmsu Whilst I wouldn't agree with 'any show', looks like another one of those vocal minority situations judging by the overall rating and the 'top' comments.
@seanmsu People compare the 8 episode TV show to hundreds of hours of book and gameplay. People who read the book and played the games mostly can find the ending unappealing, but this applies to any adaptation. Although I did both, I liked the ending personally.
