That '90s Show 2023

Sadly this is not that 70s show. It just makes very on the nose 2023 jokes and is more disney channel humour than that 70s show humour.

The cameos from the original cast just make you miss the real original gang way more.

The show doesn't feel like it's set in the 90s. Sure the put a computer in the living room, (highly questionable that a technophobe elderly American couple would have a computer and ther internet in 1995) but apart from that the show could basically be set in 2023.

The clothing isn't very 90s, the hairstyles aren't very 90s, and the characters are definitely far too woke for the 90s. Even is this was set in the 00s the characters wouldn't be this woke.

Just set the show in the 90s, with real 90s attitudes and real 90s struggles and fights.

The comedy side of the show falls flat. Even the funniest scenes are just ok at best, nothing from this new cast actually made me properly last.

The writers needs to really think about what made the original show funny but not try to copy and paste that humour but to use it as a vibe check and then actually set it in the 90s. I'm not sure if the writers are too old or too young but either way it doesn't feel like they experienced the 90s as teenagers.

If it wasn't for Red and Kitty Foreman, this show would be a complete miss.

Given this has Netflix money I'm sure they'll be a season 2, something that I'd highly doubt on normal tv, so hopefully the writers will listen to the negative feedback and actually work on the characters and storyline properly

A racially diverse group of 3 angry looking lesbians, a gay guy, a 70s reject & a John Belushi tribute act does not reflect 90s youth.
