I just finished watching the first season of That 90s Show and I'm very happy. I'm an old That 70s Show fan and for years I've dreamed about this (kind of a sequel) show. The creative people behind this made it out of pure love for the story and its characters. First and foremost, I want to address how amazing Callie Haverda is as Leia Forman. She truly is Donna and Eric's daughter. There are shades of both of them in her, she's the perfect mix. But she also feels like she's still figuring herself out, like many of these "coming of age" stories. The writers pay tribute to the old series with references and cameos from most of the old characters, but also, manage to make these new kids the protagonists of their own stories, with their unique personalities and struggles while growing up in Wisconsin during the 90s. Man, I really enjoyed the cameos. It's like these characters never left. They all feel as if almost 20 years had not ever passed. It's truly a delight to watch Kitty and Red as grandparents. They both are the heart of this show. I just love them! This show is definitely worth watching, it even has references to other famous 90s shows. The series finale is touching and fun, I can't wait for season 2, which has just been announced! Thank you, Netflix. This is an incredible gift for us fans.
