There are two things in this world that make me avoid a lot of media - female leads and romance. I don't know why, but both of these put me off. Maybe it's because I'm a tomboy, but most female characters just annoy the hell out of me. I don't like them and I hate seeing romance thrown into the middle of a really good plot.
This show has both. However... It blew past my expectations! The lead girl, Youngwoo, is just so adorable and sweet, she's not annoying at all and I just wanna hug her and protect her from this cruel world. I'm also rooting for her to find someone that will love and respect her! This reminds me of Kimi ni Todoke in a lot of ways because I felt the same way about that lead girl. I honestly love her so much and want to be her friend :sob:
This show literally took me through the entire rainbow of emotions - I felt happiness, sadness, pride, anger, disappointment, frustration... I laughed and I cried and I cursed and, most importantly, I couldn't stop smiling. God, this show is top tier in every way. It's rare for me to find a show that I love so completely but this definitely makes that list.
I know it's too much to hope for but... I really want a second season or at least a movie.
