It's corny as hell, but it manages to do pretty well with the mish-mash of themes it's trying to blend, primarily thanks to a well-handled and relatable cast. It's far from perfect, but it's straightforward enough that your assumption will probably be correct if you think it sounds like something you'd enjoy or not. The choice to dub the songs was bold but one that didn't shy away from keeping it Disney-esque and paid off quite well.
