a realistic exploration of the mundane powerlessness that comes with aging that while somber, wasn’t bleak and without hope.

quite sentimental—the subject matter almost calls for it—but it works.
really enjoyed the beginning and seeing the parents try to adjust to life apart; the friendship the father made and the connection the mother had with the granddaughter was wonderful.
