@finfan I don't think Charlotte fell in love with Julien, as much as "Dominique" and he fell into an intense trauma induced war time bond. The two scenes of embrace and heavy petting were both for show—though who wouldn't be excited with love-making (even faux) from Billy Crudup?

Movie is OK. The story is lacking a, bit though. I thought it odd that she went over to France to find her love and after finding out what happened to him she soon falls in love with another one. That´s to convenient story writing.
