I knew it had a negative reception so my expectations were low before watching it. It's not the boring mess I read. Even the role of the locusts was overstated. The first act was great before new characters were introduced but the rest was still entertaining, all in all.
So far I've only watched the Extended Edition, which the director has said is the version he intended to be released before the studio forced him to cut 14 minutes. I loved it, and while it did feel a little long, I felt the action, character moments, and nostalgia were nicely balanced. I'm curious to watch the theatrical release and see if that explains the more negative reviews this film received.
I wouldn't say this is the worst film I've watched recently, but it sure comes near the bottom. I did at least watch all of it, by watching a bit, having a rest and then watching a bit more. But I'm so over American films. I think I'll start looking at Scandinavian/Icelandic series as at least they come up with something different every now and again. Sigh.
Did I expect more? Yes. Where there dinossaurs? Yes. Was it enjoyable? Yes.

Definitely not as good as the other 2 Jurassic World movies. In fact, I felt like this one was more of an homage to the original Jurassic Park (1993).
Don't get me wrong - this was still a good movie and it was a lot of fun seeing the whole gang from both sets of movies all playing together.

The animals were cool though! Not sure if a Giganotasaurus is actualyl a real thing... the whole "not a saurus" had me wondering if it was made up. Will need to look it up now :D
I should have known the writing for this movie would be horrible when they start it off with Dr. Ellie Sattler saying she is researching the harmful affects of animal agriculture on the environment.... all right, awesome! They can go into how it is one of the two leading causes (arguably #1) of climate change too!
Followed up by her saying she thinks regenerative farming is a good thing face palm
So they decided to make Dr. Ellie Sattler sound like an idiot because they couldn;t be bothere to do 5 minutes of research?
I loved this film. I like how they copied the Apple headquarters as Mr. Evils domain. Speaking of Mr. Evil, he highly resembled Tim Cook. Aside from the Apple love, the movie was full of adventure, a great story line cut from the headlines of today. Not sure why others didn't like this final instalment? The new and old casts blended smoothly and delivered a great finale. If you loved the past 5, you'll love this.

Didn’t enjoy this movie as much as the predecessors unfortunately. However I still recommend watching it
Probably the worst of the Jurassic films but I still enjoyed it for a couple of hours of mindless fun. Some good action scenes in the last hour.

What made the first two movies so great was that they made the most of all the elements. They were thrilling, educational and most importantly, fun. Less is more. So much money was thrown at this film, yet it did not manage to be half as good.

It was a good movie, enjoyable and had a lot of good scenes. You most definitely will not get bored of of it.
The third act of the movie is done very badly on every level,plot, scenes, CGI it's like they know the movie is doomed already so they said let's not make much effort and let's get it done already

People are taking themselves and what they wanted this movie to be too seriously. I never anticipated a Spielbergian masterpiece back when it was announced, but the most vocal reception had me expecting a pile of dino droppings, so I was pleasantly surprised to watch something that had me grinning for the better part of its duration. At the end of the day, it can be taken for the best thing it could realistically have been—a fun throwback with well loved characters.
Also, there's giant fucking fire locusts raining down.
A meeting of generations, catching references to previous films and a relatively fast-paced action filled with dinosaurs... For me it's enough, because what more could you want from an adventure movie? The series' culmination is a plus. So maybe see you in next 30 years dinosaurs? ;)
'Jurassic World Dominion' is far from perfect, if just about entertaining to watch... kinda.
I'm not fully convinced by it but I do think there's enough in there that's worth watching. There are too many characters, even main characters with the original trio and the newer duo both involved equally. With that said, I do like 'em. It's pleasant to see Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, while Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are a good pairing.
Still, I wouldn't say any one character stands out here. They all make their presence known, though I'm struggling to remember any great moments individually - that's due to the aforementioned surplus. The rest of the cast, fwiw, are all fine - Mamoudou Athie sticks out most in that regard.
The run time is overlong, in my opinion. I personally could've done without 30 or so minutes and I wouldn't have felt it was missing anything. The story itself isn't all that fresh, as in I feel like I've seen this sorta thing before (I mean, Biosyn... how creative!), but the barrage of dinosaur-centric action probably just abouts tips it over into a positive rating for yours truly. Could easily be lower, though.
I'd love for this to be the end of the Jurassic franchise (is there much more to tell?) but there ain't no way Amblin/Universal are leaving this IP to collect dust, let's be honest.
Now that the Jurassic World series has fumbled to a disappointing conclusion, it's super clear that 'Fallen Kingdom' is still the best of this trilogy.

I thought this was supposed to be about Dinos who co mingle with humans . instead we got seven people who rescue a kidnapped girl from a mad scientist who has some Dino close by UGR !!! and how was the CGI better in 1992 …

For me, I only wanted to see this to see my favorite characters, the original ones. Everything else is kinda just boring or just doesn’t feel like it belongs in the JP world. There’s also way too much Borne Identity and Mission Impossible action added.
It has its moments.

Also, I was waiting for the 'Well come to Jurassic world' by John Williams, but there's not.
I think if you are the fan of the 'Jurassic park' series, you would like this one as well. However, I watched the Jurassic park movie when I was little, so I barely remember the characters, and that made it a lot less fun.
A fun rollercoaster. It could of been a bit shorter. I loved seeing the dinos from each movie come together one last time. The inclusion of the more accurate feathered dinosaurs was a highlight for me. As others have said, not the best in the series, but certainly not the worst.

Jurassic World Dominion was a solid 7.5 almost 8/10 tbh, i loved the way they included the actors from the first Jurassic Park and the way they had their Moments, that was really good
the moment the T-Rex went behind that circular fountain and sorta recreated the iconic Jurassic Park logo was a really nice touch, i loved all these little bits here and there that they included as an Ode to the original movie(s)
and Bryce Dallas Howard was amazing as always, i absolutely loved her in this movie, her scene in the jungle trying to silently crawl into the water and get away from that huge dinosaur was scary af, then when it showed her underwater as that dinosaur just SCREAMED into the water, chills.
speaking of scary, they kept the symbolic Jurassic Park feeling of being completely F*CKED, all the while being in the presence of such a scary & huge prehistorical creature like a T-Rex etc, there were some really great shots
For me it was a step down from both previous parts, but I enjoyed the ride. Gotta appreciate the effort the cast made to save the world.. we couldn't have made it without them
It was an entertaining film with some moments that were thought provoking. Of course, this film is not a cinematic masterpiece, but it’s a work that kids and adults can both enjoy and have fun with.
A very respectable ending to the series. The chase scene is worth the ticket price alone! Watch it on the biggest screen you can and is best on IMAX. 7.5/10
Oh SO predictable. It's a big screen movie - only for the special effects.
I found it better than I expected, granted I have seen youtube video review titles saying that it was a disaster or so bad, (*I didn't watch the reviews) but still my expectations were low. while not the most complicated of plots still had enough elements to stop it dragging. however, it's formulaic because it's giant monsters in a confined space and of cause they cause havoc. having the old and new was nice as well as Owen interacting with blue again. Nice also to see a movie not bogged down in "political or social" agender where one how can I put it, group is made to look bad to push another more "popular group" to be seen as superior. everyone plays their part and acts naturally instead of some forced shoehorned ideology (which I'm getting tired of in TV and Cinema atm I want to be entertained and escapism from the everyday horror that is real life.) but I digress. the only thing I could really pull it up on is some sloppy editing where things are said but have no setup scene previous. like how did someone know something was there, or how something got its name maybe I blinked and missed them but I don't think so. I would be interested to see an extended edition. My feeling about this movie was really whoever wrote it, or at least the person in charge of what dinosaurs go in Obviously plays Ark Survival Evolved.. dam it felt like ark the movie. though realistic *having gone and googled it I feel the giganotosaurus doesn't feel big enough ok in ARK they are 3 times the size of a T-Rex and the one in the movie feels more like an allosaurus, At least from being an ARK player but anyway I did enjoy it and would watch it again.
Super fun. Actually much better than I expected. I really enjoyed the constant and almost grotesque original movie tropes/nods and the weird inclusion of modern memes. Raptor (or, what was it?) grappling with a motorbike like it was doing a trick was a magnificent touch.
Enjoyed the overall spectacle of this but hated all the evil that man does to the poor dinosaurs. This movie focuses on the illegal trade, torture, and mistreatment of animals and even if its just dinosaurs in this movie, its not OK. The dinosaurs never really got a win in this move like they did in the others and thats a :thumbsdown:for me

I normally hate the idea of reboots or sequels of older works but I liked this. It was a decent end for this iteration of the series. With new knowledge of dinosaurs and advancement in technology this added a new experience. Seeing the original 3 was great addition. I also want to note the dialogue for the pilot was well done.

How to milk a franchise with very little to offer. And the CG was pretty rubbish - and given the first Jurassic really set the benchmark, how does that even happen.

6 Jurassic Park/World films later…and it’s such a good series! I don’t totally understand the hate that this film is getting from so many places. Is it the greatest plot/movie ever? No. Is it the weakest of this trilogy? Possibly. It’s still damn entertaining. Personally, I like this marginally better than Jurassic Park III (which is also a solid film). It’s action scenes are top notch. The new dinosaurs are awesome. It brings back legacy characters. It’s everything someone should have wanted out of the end of the second trilogy of a series. Are there small gripes? Sure. But this movie is definitely worth watching, especially for “big summer blockbuster” types of movies.
(Extra opinion I’ll die on. The “Jurassic World” trilogy is the superior trilogy. “Jurassic Park” trilogy has the best movie, but the newer set have three uniquely memorable movies. The first goes for that family action charm that the original had, the second is a suspenseful action as they are in the house discovering the mystery and what’s happening, and this is a balls to the wall action adventure that could be a video game. The first trilogy has the first be amazing, the second goes for the same vibe with a weaker plot, and the third once again dips into the same vibe but loses the Spielberg charm. Both great trilogies, but I do appreciate how each movie had a separate identity here.)

I Good to see old characters from the original back, definitely made it special and the film wasn’t brilliant, at moments was silly but it was enjoyable and better than the last two with more action and more dinosaurs.
Not as good as the previous movies in the franchise but this still had its moments despite its silly plot points and overall cheesiness.

Premise - 18/20 - Finally...what happens when the created animals are let loose on the world?
Cast/characters - 18/20 - Both generations of leads are wonderful and DeWanda Wise was a wonderful addition. 2 pts off because the rich white guy was a weak character this time, and sometimes Bryce Dallas Howard is a little rigid again. "The movie relies too much on nostalgia"? Yes, it does. If you love the characters, what's wrong with seeing them again?
Story - 18/20 - Two main questions to be answered: can the existence of Maisie (and Blue's baby) hold answers to disease, and can dinosaurs and humans co-exist? This movie is taking some hits for having a weak story, but it's not meant for the art house. Does the story keep you engaged, and do you care what happens? Yes. The story works well for me. Two specific points: whether or not they created any new dinosaurs was immaterial. That wasn't the point of the movie. Second, the "evil corporation" bit is a little tired, but it's realistic. Chris Tucker's rule of finding out where the problems start -- follow the rich white guy. There's always a greedy individual/corporation at the heart of the world's issues.
Dialogue - 13/20 - The action was the draw, not the dialogue. It didn't distract, but it wasn't special.
World-building - 20/20 - The settings were wonderful, and this created world will never get old for me, even after 6 movies.
87/100 - 4.5/5 stars - What a wonderful ending to a storied franchise.
I thought this movie was pretty bad but the dinosaurs on the lab island area were made from a more direct genome or something, they do address that in the film
It’s only occasionally offensively bad, the biggest sin is the movie is 8 hours long, by the time we get the whole crew together they completely fumble it.
I don't think that this was as bad as the review score on Rotten Tomatoes would suggest. I probably would have chopped 20-30 mins off to make it tighter but I think this is a 6.5-7.0 type film. I'm baffled at some of the reviews suggesting it to be truly awful.
This is the worst movie of the series.

Overall it was a good time pass. If you have better options, skip this movie. If you have no other options, it’s a decent way to waste 2.5 hours of your life.
Let’s hope this is the end of this franchise. Every release gets worst and worst.
