The first time I saw the trailer of Lone Survivor something told me that I would enjoy it very much. I am not the biggest Mark Wahlberg fan and the trailer give him the bigger highlight, but despite that fact, this war film looked really good to me. I wasn't wrong at all, it really hit me in a huge emotional way.
Lone Survivor is one of the most intense, violent and emotional war films in a long time!
The most disturbing and haunting part of this film is the fact that you know that everything that you are watching really happened. The title already indicates what unfortunately will eventually happen but it's not because of that that you lose your interest in the story even for a single minute.
Very well paced, the tension increases more and more in due time and it really leaves you at the edge of your seat. The absolutely brutal war scenes can sometimes be disturbing and painful to watch but they are all totally needed. It's almost like you were there with those soldiers, experiencing all of their anguish, pain and strenght for survival.
Excellent direction, excellent cinematography and the excellent performances of the four men who played their parts in a very realistic way, Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch and Taylor Kitsch.
Unfortunately most of the ratings that I saw about it were very poor. It looks like many people didn't like it and they sure have their own reasons but I can say that I loved it. At the end of the film I felt very touched by the bravery and heroism of those men.
Fuck me!
One of the BEST MOVIESI have ever seen. Surprisingly!
The beginning of the movie was very promising. Until the fighting started. The american soldiers can take 10 bullets, a RPG to the face and just scruff it off while the terrorist guys die from a single hit to the toe. This movie is just has Murica written all over it. It's still a good movie though, but just as realistic as star wars.
The most murican film of 2013. Prepare for some intense propaganda.
Mixed feelings about this one.
It's "ok" for a movie, specially the camera work is great. But the 'based on true story' part ruined the movie for me and my propaganda sensors went off.
Most amazing war movie I have seen.

"You can die for your country, I'm gonna live for mine."
Historical inaccuracies aside, Peter Berg knows how to direct a film and make it entertaining. When you read about how things really went down, this movie might even be a little mild which is crazy.
The best special forces movie.
Lone Survivor is an outstanding war movie and one of my all-time favorites. The film is based on a true story and does an excellent job of capturing the grit and intensity of modern warfare. One of the standout features of the film is the exceptional acting by the cast. Mark Wahlberg delivers a powerful performance, and the supporting cast, including Taylor Kitsch and Emile Hirsch, are equally impressive. The action scenes in the film are phenomenal, with expertly choreographed gun battles and hand-to-hand combat. The filmmakers have spared no expense in making the action scenes feel authentic and realistic, which adds to the tension and excitement of the film. Overall, Lone Survivor is an intense and emotional film that does an excellent job in telling the true story of a legendary military mission.
AAN for sound mixing/editing. M8/S9
Very powerful and incredibly well done.
A bit over dramatized, but quite good. Well worth a watch!
everyone of these actors did a amazing job, loved each one of them......One of Peter Berg best film
there was some scenes that really just brought tears. i loved this movie and i still do just sad it has only 7.6 on IMDB. all those B.S aside this one is THE ONE!
The quality of the cinematography, solid acting and good action is what makes this such a great film.
didn't like it, i thought it was very unrealistic even for a true story.
i mean they fall down twice from rock cliffs and no one of them broke a bone or got seriously hurt so he couldn't come back up.
Every man got shot at least three times and they still manage to walk.
lame atempt of an action movie
A voire absolument
so much murica that its hard to enjoy
Fantastic war movie, not a lot to distract from the story and not over dramatized. I'd say this mixes the action in Zero Dark Thirty with that of Black Hawk Down. This is one of the best I've seen in quite a while and it really hit me emotionally! I'm glad I finally got to see this.
İt was very boring.6/10.Not a Saving private ryan .
Superb. Very tense. A sad reflection of a ridiculous war
Great movie
Hard pics
Monument to American heroes. Up to a certain point, the soldiers seem to be immortal, but building tension, sincerity of emotion and dynamics pierce chair.
The movie builds up a tad slow in the first 15 minutes, but once the shootout starts, it doesn't stop pumping your heart. The movie shows a glimpse of how much a hell Afghanistan is - both for the US and for the Afghans themselves.
Brutal, moving and made all the more upsetting by the true nature of the story.
Bloody, brutal battle scenes give us a solid view of what we're up against by fighting in Afghanistan.
A must watch. I can't begin to describe it, just watch it.

I swear I heard the murican audience cheering at the end of the movie!
