I think Owens common sense disappeared together with the cancer.

Paul needs his own spin-off where he goes off solving murder mysteries, that was some impeccable reasoning!
Pisses me off how privileged Owen interferes with an ongoing investigation and even after getting reprimanded for it, in the end, he gets an apology from Gabriel, that is some BS.

Tommy is such a badass, the way she walked towards that pulpit and told Lydia to sit down, loved it.

Much of this episode is outstanding, and there's plenty of solid storytelling to go around (don't let the Reddit haters fool you, Owen's storyline here is quite riveting and compelling). However, Tommy's subplot ends in such a groan-inducing, secondhand-embarrassing way, that it makes the episode hard to recommend as viewing material.

Not that this was a bad episode, but it is not the 911 Lone Star that it started as. Do they even bother to actually do 911 things anymore, or is this just some drama show now? Maybe a weird crime solving show? I hope that it can get more back on track. I expect drama in the show, but it seems to be all over the place with Owen, and very little, if any, 911 or fire fighting going on.

Finally the episode from that tiktok clip that made me start this show

Honestly, that reverend bowing to gossip - not once but twice, making the same mistakes again, just not to lose money... Why not be upfront about the relationship? Why not just announce it and be done with those gossipers? It's not as though they have to hide some kind of illicit affair. So, Tommy had the right idea in the end (not ranting against gossipers but just telling what's going on), not sure I'd stick with the reverend, though, if I were in her shoes. Because he acted like a coward, let's face it.

Owen... the next solved crime. I think they should hire Owen (and Paul, the wanna-super-observer) for police work and not let them "rot" as firefighters because the way this is shown is that they're absolutely wasting their talents there. And that's not kind towards firefighting. Again, however, they really need to think hard what to do with Owen in the future. The character isn't working any longer. They can't just take him to infiltrate Neonazis or solve murders every other week.
