Kanoko is tasked with being the supervising editor to, famous author, Kagaya Saku after the previous editor ran away from their responsibility. The editor in chief tells her to try and encourage discussion of the author's next work. However, after meeting him, she realizes this may be no easy task.
After an incident, Kanoko sits down to talk with Saku but instead ends up getting drunk. Chihiro continues to worry about Saku using his charms on Kanoko.
Kanoko worries about what she thinks might have happened the night she ended up drunk with Saku. The editor in chief wants Kanoko to convince Saku to hold an autograph session. Chihiro wants to accompany Kanoko when visiting Saku after seeing the two of them run off together, his worry only growing.
Kanoko agrees to be Saku's hand after having injured himself to catch her at the signing. Kanoko has a tough time making sense of the situation she is currently in with two of the men in her life.
After Kanoko and Saku have an intimate conversation, he decides to ask her out on a real date since she has never been on one before. Although Kanoko is nervous, Saku shows a calm side which helps ease her tension during the date. However, they run into Chihiro and Akari while they are out.
Kanoko and Saku almost spend the night together but something causes Saku to change his mind quickly. Chihiro takes Kanoko to a place where famous writers have eaten.
Saku thinks back on his life with his first love. Kanoko worries about Saku and Mitsuki traveling together and what that means for the two of them. Kanoko becomes Akari's editor and the two become closer. When Saku returns, he does an interview that Kanoko set up -- however the interview does not go well.
Chihiro takes a drunk Kanoko home safely. Kanoko and Saku have a discussion that soon ends in a way that they both do not favor. However, some time after Kanoko finally reads the manuscript that Saku sent in for publishing, there is something that causes all of those emotions that she held close for Saku to stir once again.
