A third of the way through the season, and I must say that I am impressed. It reminds me heavily of the landmark first season of The Walking Dead (https://trakt.tv/shows/the-walking-dead/seasons/1). Very well thought out, great atmosphere and realistic and consistent characters make the universe feel lived in and important. Really looking forward to the show as it goes forward.
Finally. This is probably my favorite show so far. The final moments were so incredibly tense and gripping! I hope this one gets renewed.
a show about nothing followed with nothing and nothing on and endless nothing loop
I binged the first 3 episodes because I love a good mystery but this isn't heavy on the horror. Not even half the atmosphere of The Fades or Outcast, very weak gore compared to Walking or even Evil Dead but it sure tries it best with jump scares. Can't help but remember that quote " a horror movie with jump scares is like a stand-up comedian who jumps in the crowd to tickle them " Good mystery show, just not horror in my book.
Pretty decent first season. There were moments within episodes that were too slow to keep me engaged, but the good parts outweighed the bad.
I’m not sure I like this series or not. Paranormal type stuff is not really my thing… I think mostly because I’m expecting some kind of deus ex machina at some point that cheapens my investment in the thing.
Anyway, it’s a “meh” from me for now, onto season 2.
I have seen this season twice, this is such a good series.
man that kid sucks smh
This has a really good premise, and some of it is used to its potential, but I feel like there are some things that are being dragged on too long. I feel like by the end of this season, I was left with barely any answers. Boyd is by far the best character, and the actor is great. Sadly, I can't say the same for other actors or characters. I also feel like the trope of not communicating is making me pissed off like christ fucking moron say something. Anyway, it was still very intriguing and enjoyable despite certain icks.

Story and Characters: 7/10
Presentation: 7/10
Enjoyability: 8/10
This season has a very sudden end. I feel sorry for people who had to wait for season 2 because the last episode feels like it cuts off in the middle of the story.
As for my overall thoughts of this show so far, it's your typical monsters in the dark/mysterious town people get trapped in story. The characters' decisions are sometimes infuriating, and there are some things that don't make sense in terms of timeline, resources, safety plan, etc. It feels lower budget because they only seem to have 4 sets/filming locations. The acting is usually good, but a few actors need some work. Graphics are lower quality than you'd expect from an Amazon Original. But the show is all right fine for a quick binge. It's just absurdly slow sometimes with a couple of entire episodes having nothing of real value happening. In a 10-episode season that's supposed to be a mystery/thriller/suspense, there shouldn't be entire episodes that can be removed without losing substance.
Good to have on in the background or just casually watch on a day off, but it's probably not going to be your new favorite show. 6/10...

I was a little worried they would reveal the whole mystery in the finale but thankfully they didn't. The second the puzzle pieces are all assembled this show will decline or end, as Lost did. The mystery got crazy wild in the last few episodes and i'm mostly on board. My only concern is: how ridiculous is it going to get? And if this gets many seasons (I hope it does) they need to keep the scary tone and avoid cringe with too much crazyness.
Favorite character arc was Jade, he started as this prick I didn't like but once he realized what was happening he becomes the most important character in finding a way out of this. Sheriff Boyd is such a great leader and I liked his "redeeming himself as a father" arc. The big mystery is Victor, I bet he knows pretty much everything about this place apart from a way out. Fatima is probably the character I wouldn't mind if they killed off, which means she'll be there for a while. I want more Donna and Kenny next season!!
I got the sense like giant spiders were imminent once it starts raining, judging from Victor's drawing and no way did those little spiders do all that web in the forest. Interested to see if they actually go with it, depends on the budget I guess.
A great first season, can't wait for season 2! The premiere is destined to be epic with that amazing ending.
Absolutely worthwhile. Enjoyed watching the whole season. Looking forward to season 2!
Awesome , im really exited waiting next season!!
Finally an horror mistery show, with great characters and a lot to entertain us. It got me hooked every single week. Too bad such an amazing show, dropped energy in the last 2 episodes and left us with an empty ending. Would building up a second season justify not having a season one that could have been perfect?

This seems a mixture of Lost + Wayward pines, enjoyed it a lot
