Aspiring documentary filmmaker Mike Sylvan (Zach Pruett) forces himself into the life of aspiring actor Jordan Ross. Mike films Jordan's life, and they hold a party for the successful documentary that they haven't made yet. Mike discovers Jordan's disgusting eating habits, and tries to end his problem.
Mike spends the night at Jordan's house, whom Mike still doesn't know all that well. Mike just wants to get some sleep, but Jordan has other plans.
After a close call with a toilet, Jordan has Mike help him with some monologues for an upcoming play audition. However, the character that Jordan intends on auditioning for isn't quite the standard.
Jordan runs away from home after believing his house is haunted by ghosts, but things may not be as they seem.
Jordan has a run-in with the guy who stole his part in West Side Story, Ryan, who also happens to be Mike's nephew. Craziness ensues as Mike replaces Jordan with Ryan, and Jordan tries to survive on his own in Mike's garage.
Mike plans a fun evening of bowling for he and Jordan, but Jordan becomes obsessed with an arcade crane game.
Jordan leaves for the 'Glee' convention, leaving Mike alone at Jordan's house. Mike is told he can't touch Jordan's DVDs, but Mike can't resist, accidentally breaking one.
When Jordan isn't feeling so hot, Mike vows to take care of him. However, Jordan may not be able to handle Mike's overbearing care.
Jordan has a date with someone he and Mike dub 'Hot Girl'. Jordan finds her gross and off-putting, but Mike automatically falls in love.
Jordan's twin brother Gordon takes away Jordan for a film opportunity, leaving Mike all alone. Mike struggles to keep the documentary going by himself, and several shocking revelations are revealed.
