I thought I was watching Zoey's
I hate episodes with a musical theme. Shoving in the story in the songs is annoying, and I skip these songs. Luckily the main story plot was not part of these songs.
Episode wise, meh. I am giving this a 6/10 only for the Lucifer brand. Doesn't have the charm though, and God's "acting" seems really fake, not gone lie.
I loved „football dancing“, the rest of the musicalishness was not that great, but was a really nice different setting. All in all I really liked it.
God: Free will is of vital importance.
Also God: Forces dozens of people to sing and dance against their will for a giggle.
I usually hate musicals, but I love this. Hil-freaking-arious!
Musicals? Seriously!!! and the naked butt has to stop!:person_facepalming::male_sign:
Not feeling the full music video segments. Why?
All I'm seeing is hate about this episode and I dont know why it was hilariously Amazing.. plus it's been known for literally months that there is a musical episode so why not skip the episode if you know you wont like it?? it even says in the episode name Karaoke :joy::joy:
the fuck did I just watch????
Unlike others, I absolutely love when a show does a musical episodes. I just wish there was more tom singing in this one
I HATE musicals, except for Chicago and Hamilton. I HATE THEM.
Hated it in Supernatural
Hated it in Psych
Hated it in any other tv show.
It brings nothing to the table.
Didn't enjoy this one. The best bit though was Dan meeting God
I fricking love Chloe's meeting with God. Not only they were shocked bc she wasn't Godstrucked but I also went O.O with her words to him :D Also I still crack up that even Chloe now knows that in order to advice Lucy she has to use euphemizms or show him everything via other ppl problems. It's so childish but sweet and funny in some way :D
OMG God trying to be a father is the best thing ever !
I usually don't like musical episodes bc:
1. actors rarely can sing (or they just pick songs no ordinary person can sing)
2. the episodes are just filling up space and they dont take the plot further.
Here we don't have either of those things. I might be a little sick of the whole season being mostly about Lucifer's feelings and issues, (pretty much every ep talking about a different issue) BUT I think this ep took the plot as far as a normal episode would and they chose a musical bc they wanted to use Tom's abilities more. It was entertaining for me and I cant be mad bc it wasnt just a filler. I was more mad about the one retrospective with Lillith which had such slight relation to the overall plot that it wasn't needed as a whole ep.
I see Netflix is focusing more on psychological approach which I like more than just the fun stuff from 1-3 seasons but it may be too much feelings in too little episodes, I can see how good it would be if Netflix had Lucifer from the beginning. The comedy kept me entertained maybe for two season, in third I was barely keeping interest but from 4 till now I'm so into it.
This episode was kinda hilarious.
"You know what? Why don't you fly this bag of shit to the trash while Charlie and I go on a lame human walk?"
"Madam, please! Ground your helicopter."
"Was the Goddess ever inhabiting Charlotte's body while I was… inhabiting Charlotte's body? See, I prefer not to talk about this, Dan. But I do believe that there was some, um… overlap."
"But if you wanna make fashion small talk, I had a run-in with a lady. We had bad chemistry."
I'm sure they all had a good laugh filming these scenes !
I cringed hard when I realised this was a musical episode... I think the series has lost its way judging by the 2nd half
I thought I would hate this episode since musicals aren't my thing, but the concept of God screwing with Lucifer saved it. I also appreciate that it's not one of those musical episodes where there has to be CONSTANT singing.
I must say, I prefer Dan's singing voice to Lucifer's. Tom Ellis's voice is nice, but I rarely feel like it's the right fit for the songs in this show. (The song at the end is an instance of Tom Ellis's voice matching well.)
Words cannot express the sounds I made as cringe overwhelmed me when Amenadiel started rapping. Come now, AMENADIEL rapping??
The Devil made God cry...

Would have been better if they had actors that could actually sing.
A musical episode?!? I... as terrible as that might be, I’m a sucker for musical episodes. Bring it on :joy::heart_eyes:
Another musical episode with actor who shouldn't leave their day job for a singing career that are also doing awkward and quite cringe dance moves.
The only thing that saves this episode is the kind of meta commentary and reasoning behind why this is happening.
So expect some chuckles before you roll your eyes so far back into your sockets you can see your ass.
Oh and at least the songs are classics... unfortunately your ears will be raped due to how they're sung.
I am a sucker for a musical episode. But what the hell. The song choices were random AF, they did not fit the tone or into the context of the episode. It was completely over-the-top or too serious. Subtext is apparently not something the writers care about.
Very entertaining despite musical scenes. People here really hate musical episodes , wow lol. When it comes to Riverdale I don’t blame them.
Here it makes sense, since god is doing it to mess with Lucifer.
I usually can't make it through to the end of musical episodes because it gets too chopped up but this was by far the best melding of music and plot I've ever watched while still finding room for humor. I watched the entire episode in awe of all the talented actors on this show especially Tom Ellis who never ceases to amaze me. I give it a 10.
Best episode ever! I'm a Mazed
Really not sure how I feel about this episode good music choices. Will have to watch again
One big „Lip Sync Battle” but who was the worst…
Loved it! Made me laugh and especially the deeper thoughts behind the songs. Better then the episode where they went back in time, I completely skipped that one.
Damn a lot of you don't have taste this slaps
LOL that high school musical dance scene made me think I was watching Family Guy for a minute
But during the second singing scene in the interrogation room, it got old real fast.
The one at the bar scene though, I like salsa/flamenco so that one was fun
And that scene in Lucifer's house "Try the coffee" sourced from Bolivia from a farmer named Jesús LOL
Damn that Will Smith shoutout with "Just the Two of Us" was fun too
Awful, awful episode. Whats with all the cringe singing?
Normalize musical episodes on non-musical tv shows!
Lucifer has over one hundred episodes, why are people killing themselves over a single episode. Why is there so much hatred against something that is supposed to be lighthearted, entertaining and often funny. I’ll never be able to comprehend this.
I came into this episode biased, thinking a musical episode might wear on my nerves, but I totally enjoyed it. The first song was especially touching.
I wasn't as into the rap song.
I like how indepth they went into God's relationship with Lucifer, but I'd think a few people might not side with Lucifer.
Absolutely ridiculous episode. What moron high on drugs wrote that crap?
Not a big fan of musical stuff but I really enjoyed this episode !
Riverdale take notes... THIS is how you do a musical episode! It's literally the first show that manages to pull it off without it becoming super awkward.
i liked this episode. i don’t usually like musical episodes unless i really enjoy the show, which was the case here. also the bomb God dropped at the end! shit is ab to get interesting!
With this episode I am sure the fifth season has completely lost the way.
Why? Just why? Please give us a good episode soon.
Thank god skip button exists... i couln't survive this episode.
For a good experience in this episode, skip to the very end. You're welcome!
I can see Fonzie approaching the shark tank ramp.

This was horrible! I truly don't get why they have to throw a musical episode on a lot of series.
