Marvel Netflix shows ordered by release date / watching order
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe that is centered on a series of superhero films, independently produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that appear in publications by Marvel Comics. The franchise has expanded to include comic books, short films, television series and digital series. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters. Clark Gregg has appeared the most in the franchise, portraying Phil Coulson, a character original to the MCU.
The first film released in the MCU was Iron Man (2008), which began the first phase of films culminating in the crossover film Marvel's The Avengers (2012). Phase Two began with Iron Man 3 (2013), and concluded with Ant-Man (2015). The films are currently in Phase Three, which began with the release of Captain America: Civil War (2016). Marvel Television expanded the universe further, first to network television with Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC in the 2013–14 television season, followed by online streaming with Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix in 2015, and then to cable television with Marvel's Cloak and Dagger, which is scheduled to air in 2018 on Freeform. Soundtrack albums have been released for all of the films, along with many of television series, as well as the release of compilation albums containing existing music heard in the films. The MCU also includes tie-in comics published by Marvel Comics, while Marvel Studios has also produced a series of direct-to-video short films, a viral marketing campaign for its films and the universe with the faux news program WHIH Newsfront, and a digital series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Slingshot, a supplement to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The franchise has been commercially successful as a multimedia shared universe, though some critics have found that some of its films and television series have suffered in service of the wider universe. It has inspired other film and television studios with comic book character adaptation rights to attempt to create similar shared universes. The MCU has also been the focus of other media, outside of the shared universe, including attractions at Disneyland and Discovery Times Square, two television specials, guidebooks for each film, a Lego video game, and a commercial with Coca-Cola.
Films and TV Shows of the MCU listed according to the story timeline.

Chronological Marvel Cinematic Universe CANON.
As a marvel fan I consider Man In Black to be a part of the MCU 616 timeline. However a lot of other fans do not consider them canon. Because MIB are not considered canon I have an other MCU 616 timeline chronological that is not canon.
Most of the order is taken from digitalspy and the user donxy
However I will be updating the order with new releases and to fit my personal view when I am at that point of the timeline.
When Marvel Disney updates their timeline version within the Disney+ app I will try and match it in this chronological list. However since this is more complete (like switching on episode basis) there might be some differences from my list and Disney+ timeline version.
NOTE: In my opinion are "legacy marvel shows/movies" an other universe and I want to create a list for that as well. Currently living as:
- MIB 616 (Man In Black Universe)[NOT CANON to some]
- MCX 838 (X-Man Universe)
- SSU 688 (Sony's Spider-Man Universe)
- ASM 120703 (The Amazing Spider-Man Universe)
- DDU 400083 (The Dare Devil Universe)

Every media production set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A Timeline with a chronological display of the events that happened in the different realities depicted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Includes:
•Movies From MCU
•Movies From X-Men
•Movies From Daredevil
•Movies From Spider-Men
•Tv Shows From The Defenders
•Tv Shows From MCU Cannon from Disney +
Reason why
Spider-Man movies are easy because No Way Home but for Into and Across the Spider-Verse is because of things they show in Across the Spider-Verse.
X-Men and Daredevil both of these is because of Deadpool and Wolverine the movie is not out by the time I made this so it might change but for now Elektra is to appear and I believe just a theory that the logan we see is from the new timeline from X-Men Days of Future Past.
Not Included because reasons I go into below
*Agent Carter Show
*Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
*X-Men: Apocalypse
*X-Men: Dark Phoenix
*The New Mutants
Reason why
Agent Carter Show and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not on this list is because Disney + hasn't made them cannon yet but has made The Defenders so when they make them cannon I will add them.
Why not theses X-Men movies well easy I think they break cannon to much like how does X-Men: Dark Phoenix lead into X-Men it doesn't.
I might make a MCU Expanded Timeline with some other movies as well but haven't yet like one with Agent Carter Show and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with also some other old marvel movies for fun.

The Defenders Saga includes seven combined series and 166 episodes of television. That's a lot to sort through, so here is the ultimate watch guide. There was an idea to bring together a group of Marvel heroes on television during the dawn of the streaming era that could push the boundaries that the films never could.

This is a list of all the media I can think of pertaing to MCU. I've put them in chronological order the best I could based on several articles. Many can not agree on the order for some selections so in those instances, I had to make a judgement call. As I find errors, I will be correcting them here. Please let me know if you see anything that can be improved. As new content is available, I will add it to the bottom of this list and will sort it in the correct order as time allows.
The below lists what I've been able to include and certain things that I could not. A few of the specials/mini series had some quirks about getting meta data for them and I included a note of the compromises I had to make next to them. Some of the problems these quirks generated are not resolved. If you have sugestions, please reach out.
All obvious movies
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Slingshot
Note: I use Plex Meta Manager to create a playlist according to this trakt list. This is what I understand to be the problem. Trakt uses TMDB for it's IDs while Plex uses TVDB for TV episodes. TMDB sees this as a stand alone/mini series. TVDB sees this as Specials for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When I have the show as a stand alone series, Plex doesn't get the metadata correct, but does when it's under specials. But being under specials, PMM can't put it in the correct order since Trakt only knows this exists as a stand alone series. I've reched out to both TMDB and TVDB hoping for a solution with no luck. If trakt would ever see these as specials under S.H.I.E.L.D. this issue would be fixed I believe.
Stark Expo Shorts
Peter's To-Do List (Short Film - Spider-Man: Far From Home - Blu-Ray) - short extra clip when Peter is picking up his passport.
Werewolf By Night
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
Netflix Series
Marvel's Daredevil
Marvel's Jessica Jones
Marvel's Luke Cage
Marvel's Iron Fist
Marvel's Defenders
Marvel's The Punisher
ABC
Marvel's Inhumans
Marvel's Agent Carter
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
note: TVDB lists the SLINGSHOT mini series under specials but Trakt uses TMDB and it lists it as a standalone series. Plex Meta Manager can't find the TVDB ID for SLINGSHOT and fails to add it to the playlist. I've put that series at the top of the list in hopes a solution can be found and I will notice it being added to the top of my Plex playlist since I have it set to update everynight to include only unplayed media. If anyone knows of a solution, please let me know!
Hulu
Marvel's Runaways
Helstrom
Freeform
Marvel's Cloak & Dagger
Disney+
Loki
WandaVison
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

What If...?

Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
Peggy Carter’s 1953 Smithsonian Interview
note: No tvdb info on this so it wouldn't work wihth Plex. It is on youtube if interisted in watching it. If someone finds a way to include this, please let me know
