Wow, what a pilot episode, the most cinematic of tv series, its the 21st century taxi driver meets fight club, influences from everywhere though....just fantastic
It was okey I guess. The expected cringe-fest didn't exactly happen but it's still has enough "tv tech" to it. Gj on the Google alert for the crime before it is public tho!
The hype is strong on this one, and still the first episode was satisfying. Excited to see more.
Amazing first episode, and is already renewed for second season.
Re-watching season 1 to mentally prepare myself for season 2.
never saw a pilot like this. it's going to be awesome
6 minutes. That's the amount of time that took Mr. Robot to make me think "damn, I'm hooked".
Check this one out, it'll probably worth it for you too!
EDIT: I need to add: great acting, great insights about a lot of things within human kind... The show looks good and man, doesn't it sound amazing! Great soundtrack by Mac Quayle, a lot of synthwave going on, totally simbyotic with the overall atmosphere (along with some great scores as well). There's no hype here, it's simply the real deal.
A collection of what I love IRL. Hope it continues to the end.
So good it's probably getting canceled
This pilot is one of the most compelling, intelligent and elegant hours of television I've ever seen. From the cinematographic standpoint, Niels Arden Oplev brought us the same original directing style that he did use in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (the first film from the original Swedish trilogy), and hoped for his audience to be mature enough to digest a plot that evolves at every step, slow paced, gritty and edgy. Gosh, the sequence with Neil Diamond's song was as surreal as beautiful, and yet sad, evoking happiness. This is how you present technology to the public: with real information, explaining some stuff, keeping the plot grounded in reality (couldn't find anything too implausible or wrong in their technospeak). I'm a KDE guy myself since 1997, and I'm typing this review on my favorite Linux distro (that isn't Ubuntu, by the way), so I'm really looking forward for the rest of the season. Then again, I don't keep my hopes too high... Universal has a true innate talent to really screw up any good show that takes more than two neuron synapses to process (when they happen to own it), without exceptions.
Finally, a cybercrime show that doesn't make the "hacker" in me want to vomit.
Woah! This was an amazing episode! Freaking loved it!
Wow! Its like watching myself... yes i do have imaginary person. & always talk to him =D
fuck society.
sometime i dreamed about saving the world.
everyone steals from each others.
one of my cousin recommended this to me & em already hooked to this! <3
Omg, this first episode was awesome.
Great start, wear your tinfoil hat while watching this.
What a good start for a show!
Instantly hooked! NYC show. Christian Slater displaying horrible Subway Etiquette.
Holy sh*t. That was good.
The first episode reminded me of a cross between Fight Club and Dexter...let see the next
I re-watched just for this episode.
Every time Elliot asked him "Who are you?" I kept saying It's Christian Slater!
Friend of mine recommended this to me last year when the show premiered, sounded interesting, never got to check it out until now. It reminds me of Person of Interest quite a bit too. I like where it's headed.
It's great as in, well made. It has a nice style to it. I particularly like how it breaks the fourth wall in such a unique way; making us the product of our protagonist delusional yet brilliant mind, struggling to get grips with reality. I also like how it keeps Elliot's point of vue perspective throughout, which is made clear by the fact that everyone keeps saying "Evil Corp"; this in turn makes it very hard to tell what's supposed to be real and what's not. They play with perception quite beautifully, so much so that I'm not sure anything in the show is real. But it's not so great in it's violent anti-capitalist rethoric.
hope it won't get canceled, and great first ep !
I like that man, but his favorite movie is Back to the future II, so... A really good pilot!
Cool story, cool characters, awesome pilot!! I'll keep watching
Very good pilot! I am curious to see how it all will unfold. And I already like Elliot :D
I really like this first episode.
One of the best pilots I've seen in a long time. Looking forward to seeing this evolve.
Tyler Durden?
I have to say this is one of the best series right now , the main character ( portrayed by Rami Malek) it's absolutely perfect, it reminds me in some way to Edward Norton in the Fight Club , but with a totally cyberpunk look.
A totally must-see of the summer.
Such an amazing way to start this incredible series! So realistic about the world we live and how we wanna change it.
10 out 10
I really loved that
f*** society, f*** social media
I've just found my favourite tv show ever, being myself one of the cybersecurity field guys
Wow, surprisingly good pilot! The first show that uses tech stuff like it is used in the real world (mostly).
@Brian: Watchdogs + Dexter + Fight Club! :)
Not bad, not bad at all.
It's the best i have seen in a very long time. This is at the level of series like Dexter and Breaking Bad, i can't wait to see more. It is also realistic, the terminals are real linux and hacks use real commands, UNLIKE CSI Cyber, where they show you a 3D screensaver with flying objects and they tell you they are stopping some kind of attack. In Mr.Robot everything looks real and tells great story
OMG, I WANT MOOOOOOORE!!! Please.
The only issue I was able to tell about this tv show was Christian "get cancelled" Slater
still to early to tell
Awesome, can't wait for the next episode
Easy one of my favorite new Shows.
Great Episode. Hope it turns out awesome.
Brilliant. Looking forward to more.
Looks promising. I am interested in whats coming next.
Very awesome and true...It's Watchdogs meets Dexter
Recommend by my son. First Ep was great!
MR ROBOT is sweeping up all the important awards ( Best drama, best actors) and well deserved! A risk taking show that is authentic in its depiction of hackers and our Wall street over reaching monopolies. Mr. Robot is more then just a hacker cybery drama because at its core it's an emotionally charged thriller that is relevent and questions many of American corrupt values and powers. It sets up a complex lead character who is a self isolated but genius hacker that is a product of American's ever more growing nihlistic generation sped food brands and spectacle without any intrinsic value for soul or conscious. And here we have Elliot's heart that guides us through the story archs through an intimate first person voice or rather internal mind. This is a extraordinary way to tell us a story within the mind of this troubled soul who seeks real meaning through his own self dillusions and a tempting opportunity to use his skills that can potentionally change the world and threaten the powers whom often hide behind their towers of wealth. Mr. Robot excells at is presenting our technoligically complex world and intersecting it where it is most threated by. In this case people like Elliot, just as American's own historrical anti heros and rebels took action to stop the tyranny and liberate its citizens. Thank you USA NETWORKS for taking a risk on this groundbreaking new TV show!
How to play the movie?
really enjoyed the first one, this talks my language - but goves me impure computer thoughts?!
How can I see the episode? I'm on this page but I can't see where is the "see" button or any other thing
Reminded me of fight club. Like it a lot so far

This is, hands down, the best hour of television I have ever seen
