This is the first recapitulation episode, covering the first five episodes with only the difference being that the episode follows the manga storyline and begins with Luffy and Shanks at the bar. Also, in the ending, the current Straw Hats have a small conversation about their goals.

The Straw Hats encounter a city in the middle of a whirlpool, called the Ocean's Naval, that is being destroyed by giant monsters. These monsters supposedly protect a treasure capable of granting wishes, but in the process of defeating these guardians, the crew ends up releasing another evil.

Three children, Amanda, Milia and Holy, are being held captive on a pirate ship. Their father, who was a pro treasure hunter, told them the whereabouts of a great treasure. Luffy and crew try to save them but their opponents have a dangerous ability in their sleeves.

It is the last performance of a great actor and playwright, but several actors suddenly quit. Luckily, the Straw Hats offer to take their place. However, the quitting actors turns out to be more than a coincidence when they meet a Marine with a grudge against the playwright.

In an alternate reality world that takes place in 19th century Japan, Luffy acts as a member of the secret police. The story is divided into two halves: in the first, Buggy the Clown makes trouble in the town where Detective Luffy is stationed, and in the second a mysterious girl named Vivi appears. These stories feature cameos from several minor characters in the normal series.

This is the second recapitulation episode, covering how each member of the Straw Hat Pirates (up to Nico Robin) joined the crew. It covers events from Romance Dawn Arc, Orange Town Arc, Syrup Village Arc, Baratie Arc, Arlong Park Arc, Drum Island Arc, Arabasta Arc, and Water 7 Arc.

Nami leaves the crew after the Baratie Arc to go back to her village. Luffy and the crew follow her, and discover that she is working for a dangerous Fish-Man pirate named Arlong.

During a battle with several Marine warships, the Straw Hat Pirates are forced to make an emergency Coup de Burst in order to escape. Crash landing on a nearby island, after finding a town, they learn of the town's past and people while Luffy befriends a nearby wax sculptor.
