This was actually a very good episode! Directed by our very own Penelope Blossom (Natalie Boltt). A good conclusion to the highway killer mystery and the mothmen. So glad they weren't actual supernatural beings but just deranged inbred Blossoms. It's nice to see Fangs and Toni, their friendship is a definite highlight of the show. Glad Chad is gone too! Such a creeper!
The end scene had me bawling. At this point into the story we knew Polly was dead but Alice and Betty figuring out that she actually is gone because now they have a body was heartbreaking.
One thing I do want to add HOW MANY TIMES WILL ARCHIE COME FACE TO FACE WITH DEATH IN SUCH EXTREME WAY?!! The man got into a fight with a frickin' bear, he went to war, he almost got buried alive in an exploded mine, got shot at... Dude can't catch a break!
Why do we having product placement? Last episode Old Navy and this one Chime.
Now that Archie has thrown a trash can lid to disarm an enemy, he has truly become Captain America in just about every way possible. Great. That isn't absolutely stupid at all.
How exactly is Archie managing to pull 12-hour shifts at the mine, and be a teacher, and coach the football team? Or do those things just stop existing once the story doesn't care about them? This show has an issue with object permanence.
So once Cheryl decides to worship nature, Kevin decides it's too much and dips out. Really? That's what causes you to back out? Not the fact that you were worshiping a dead teenager before? That part was ok? Idiot...
Speaking of which - remember how Season 1 was all about Jason Blossom's death, and how we learned pretty early on that Jason was actually kind of a misogynist and a sex pest? Boy, we really have moved on from that, huh? Maybe let's not deify the dead teenager who wasn't a good person.
Veronica holds a potential murder charge over Chad's head to get what she wants in the divorce. (Side note - it would be attempted murder, not murder. Archie didn't get killed.) I'm pretty sure that blackmail is illegal. I don't think a room full of lawyers would sit idly by and watch one of the clients use blackmail like that in a legal proceeding.

No, no, no… NO WAY!! Did they think we actually forgot about the blinding lights at Pop’s? Experienced by both Jughead and Pop himself (plus other people) decades before. Without the lights, and the trembling, and the chewing gum distributor getting loose the mothmen legend would have never started!!
I know this show is bad, snd getting worse by the day, but putting something unrealistic there without explaining it later is cheating!!
