I agree with the comments saying that this didn’t feel like a proper season finale, a bit underwhelming tbh. Regardless, I’m glad Naomi and Amos went back to the Roci and I’m interested to see what Fred Johnson does with the protomolecule that Naomi gave him. Also, how many kids has Dr. Strickland and them taken? It looked like a whole lot at the end.
Good finale, but the weakest parts were on the Rocinante. Every time the episode switched to that storyline, I got bored.
Caliban on the Rocinante was so frightening - I'd be scared as shit :o
Some interesting revelations and luckily the people I care about are still ok.
It seems like this episode was mainly a buildup for season 3. Imagine they would end this show like this (with many big cliffhangers) :o
I'm so glad that they've already made it to a fifth season (which I haven't watched yet) and I hope there will be (many) more.
Not the strongest finale. The conclusion to Avasarala's venture especially isn't the strongest. The stuff the Rocinante crew has to deal also at times feels a bit dragging. Their best moments however are saved as the episode closes: as Roci's engine burns and we get a closeup shot of Project Caliban, slowly burning, as the Arboghast descends into Venus and gets instantenously shattered, and as Naomi tells her secret to Jim Holden... that was a heart-breaking setup masterfully done for the third season.
There is a child-like innocence as Ganymede's Caliban clutches the core, trying to cracking the ball in a fetal position, like a child opening up their toy. Behind the monstrous behavior, there is a child's soul residing within, and if Miller was there, he'd know that it's true. The fact that Protogen possibly stores a wide array of them ready at a place somewhere, as dr. Kirkland wishes Mei a good-night sleep, made the whole affair much more monstrous.
Jesus Christ, not cause I'm old, cause he's shot. Chrisjen is awesome.
Haha Adam Savage was there too.
Kinda expected a lot more from a Season Finale and gg Naomi, wp
ah this two part finale is so freaking intense... and I woudn't want it any other way...
Bobbie beating up ppl is an amazing sight.
Shit naomi, what did you just do? i'm not sure if it was the best decision or the worst decision....
now what? earth, mars and the belt have the protomolecule, reaving up for war... but nobody knows what the protomolecule is or wants....
this episode reminds me of what a beautifullly shot show this is.... the protohuman hybrid burning up, the ship of venus being ripped apart.
What a ride of an episode! That's how you wrap up a season, folks! One of the best episodes of the show, so far. Enough action for the whole season! Even though the last few minutes felt sort of bland and uninteresting (failing to get me excited for season 3), the majority of the episode was thrilling! I'm running out of exclamation marks to use! Oh, no!
See you all next season, then.
Why didn't Amos put another helmet on ?
Great season finale for a great season. Preparing S3?
Wow, The Expanse developed into something much more than, just another space show. It's an epic adventure. I hope session 3 continues with the quality the first two seasons have provided.
Erm, that was season finale?
A fantastic episode, this season has been amazing. This show turned to be one of the best on TV right now. I love the Roci crew bonding and Bobbie has been a great character so far. I'm going to miss this show so much. See you soon Roci and friends!
Some action... at last! Last 3 episodes were to slow, dragging the story uselessly

That did not feel like a season finale. It was more talk and the creature grasping at conduits. Episode 4!!! Now that I really thought was the finale. Some kind of.. Shift in the amount of episodes or something.
