ok so let's talk about it. It was stupid in Black Lightning it's stupid in half the X-Men stories and it's stupid here. The "cure" debate. Both Cisco Ramone and Lynn Stewart both work on finding a cure to super powers. Both of them have VERY GOOD REASONS FOR THIS. In the former Cisco points out that people like Fallout can't live their lives because of their meta powers. In the latter Lynn is confronted by a daughter who is scared of, resentful of and has no control of her powers. In both cases even researching the idea is seen as stealing identities.
I'll never forgive the show's writers for making Caitlin the ONLY PERSON IN THE ENTIRE SERIES WHOS POWERS FRACTURE HER PERSONLITIES. Everyone can get powers and it's fine. Caitlin gets power and now she's got Disassociative Identity Disorder. Everything they do is just making it worse from trying to retcon her backstory so that she's always had the Killer Frost personality. to the very fact that it's called Killer Frost.. WHY? Killer Frost was the character on the other world where Cisco was known as something not Vibe. But he didn't take on his evil name. Why should Caitlin. And rather than trying to integrate the personalities into one cohesive person which would be interesting and make sense. They're going full on "Let's just have two people" which means until even now she's not in control of her powers. And YET.
i said AND YET. Killer Frost AND Caitlin both see finding a cure for meta humans as some sort of wacky eugenics rather than the solution for people like Fallout who because of how dangerous and out of control their powers are they're locked up never to see other people because even if they're doing good they could be used as a weapon.
I'm so offended by this storyline. It makes me seething angry because it's so stupid.
But hey the plot line where apparently Nora has been being led around the nose by Eobard Thawn is just silly. The dude is so dead his entire family line is killed. The only way he works as a character is as a Time Ghost. Waiting for the timeline to catch up with him and we've already done that story. Nora shouldn't be trusted because she's sucking as a person why is someone so unaffected so unwilling to keep her cool for 20 minutes.

I had a good couple of laughs this episode, especially with Iris. Her detective skills are by far, the best. "She salutes. She's definitely military". Bravo! I guess she's a detective now. Seriously, I burst out laughing. It was a tad ridiculous.
How old is Nora supposed to be? 18? 20? I get she's a bit naive and that she grew up without her father but her behaviour is so strange at points. Sometimes she acts like she's completely in control and the next she's just a naive teen. She looks like she's in her 20s and yet she behaves like a child. It probably is a mixture of everything. The fact that she grew up without a father, under Iris' protective eye and Thawne's lies all around have probably made her be like this. But her behaviour is weird at points.
Why didn't anyone thought about putting Barry in meta-cuffs or running him into the dampening cell? Yeah, he was vibrating but since his whole body wasn't vibrating all at once, they could've at least tried.
I loved Nora and Thawne's interactions. There's no way in hell he's suddenly become a good guy. No way. And apparently, he's gonna be executed. I wonder what he's got planned. Maybe he hopes Nora would mess the timeline so much that he could get out of prison. Also, why did he told Nora that she was late. Isn't she basically time travelling? She could be just there whenever she wants, right? She comes back exactly to the moment she left. Either way, seeing Eobard two episodes ago was a nice surprise, not something I wasn't expecting, but it's lovely to see him again. I still don't get why he's wearing Wells' face besides the obvious, the other actor wasn't available so we decided to stick to what we know and love.
Btw, that car was sick! yeah, it looked like a little kid playing with their tablet, but still. I hope we see all this Wayne tech in Batwoman. And that car shouldn't have been called the Sam, but Baby.
The whole Cisco and Caitlin subplot was interesting. I think Cisco isn't managing his breakup with Gipsy well and he's all sort of a pessimist. But I think I agree with him. Finding out a meta human cure could actually save countless lives. Not everyone gets amazing powers that can be put to good use. That's something that has been established. Villains only get powers which can be use to bad use, especially if it can help destroy the city. Good guys, however, get powers that can be used for good. Remember Fallout? Poor guy couldn't get angry. And Plastique, back in season 1? That woman could literally touch no one. For all these people who are not inherently bad and who want to help, depite not being able to control their powers to the fullest, that cure could actually be great. Instead, I know it's gonna be used the way it shouldn't.
I don't know what's gonna happen next or what the actors are going to do next, but I don't have a good vibe about Cisco. No pun intended. His actions during this episode made me realise that it looks like he's about to leave the show. Something about the way he spoke sounded like this might be his last season.
