The Hogan Family 1986

A saccharine, anodyne family sitcom typical of the late 80s.
The most interesting thing about the show is the fact that it was originally developed as a vehicle for TV's Rhoda, Valarie Harper--and originally aired titled "Valarie." However, during the first season, the titular actress asked for a raise and was basically fired from her own show.
Then they replaced her with Sandy Duncan and aired several episodes simply titled Valarie's Family, before finally rebranding as The Hogan Family for the rest of the run.
It was very embarrassing for the network executive-weasels who fired Harper, which is why they refused to cancel it after she left.
