Great finale IMO. By far the best show off the year, so far. Each extended scene in this episode was so gripping. Wow!
Most ppl found the finale anticlimactic, although I would be inclined to agree I also found it refreshing because it was an ending that was more true to real life; Not a happily ever after fairy tale ending you would normally get.
Bit of an anticlimax in the end.
second best show of the year ( after Stranger Things ) .
The cat lived. That's all that mattered to me.
Nah, but for real, this was a tremendously incredible show. Ignore what the other commenters said; this is my highest rated show by far.
That last scene made me happy and sad at the same time :)
American Crime Story still is the best jury drama of the year. The Night Of was a series of more lows than highs.
Fantastic series overall, but I was a little let down by this episode. I'm surprised it has such a high rating.
Although it was great TV, I was disappointed in this show overall. It started out so promising. Episode one was a fantastic pilot episode, one of the best and most gripping I've seen in a while. But after episode one, the show just sort of diverged and ended up as your regular sort of crime/prison drama. It was done very well, and it's better than many of the other shows of its kind, but the first episode had me hoping for something better, something different.
The preponderance of circumstantial evidence in the first episode was kind of ominous and heartbreaking to see. The preponderance of exculpatory evidence for the final episode was just a bit too much for me to believe. (Not a lawyer, hoping I got those terms right).
In the end, it ends up being a fairly standard crime drama that moves at a really slow pace - something I'd normally not watch. I'll give it credit that it kept me interested and watching to the end, but all told I didn't find anything special other than Turturo.
i wanted to see a different ending where it goes all out and they bring the boyfriend or whatever and i kept holding my breathe the last 20 mn thinking something bad gonna happen to nasir or something until they roll the credits but it still a good ending to it.
What a disappointing ending to an otherwise tense show. I hated the ending, however cudos to the last shot of the cat.
Great series but thought this final episode was a little soft. Was waiting for a "Keyser Soze" moment that never came.

I cannot agree with the others here. I thought this was a very fitting and a wonderful finale. Lots of suspense until the last moment of the trail.
