Titans: Season 1

1x09 Hank and Dawn

I hate when shows do this shit... They know we want to see the follow up scene with Kory and Rachel, but instead they give us a full backstory on Hank and Dawn that we couldn't careless about. The only good thing good that came from watching that episode was seeing the silhouette of Mina Kelly's ass, which is amazing by the way.

*Minka Kelly has a stunning body. *

Contrary to what people think about this episode, I liked it a lot. It's probably one of my favorite episodes of this season. I didn't particularly like Hank and Dawn back in the second episode when they made their first appearance, but this episode made me like them a lot. I liked Hank's brother a lot too. It's a shame what happened to him. Perhaps the writers can bring him back somehow, that'd be cool.

An emotional break from the usual action and mystery that characterises this show.
Yes, it was somewhat of a filler episode, but a very well done one. It was adorable (among a whole trip of other feelings) to see Hank and Dawn becoming a couple.
By the end of the episode I had even forgotten about last week's intense cliffhanger. That's how you know how good this episode was.
Everything was beautifully done, it's criminal not to have enjoyed this out of the ordinary episode.

The show runners of Titans needs to stop with the interruptions of the main storyline.

As much as I like Hank and Dawn, both their episodes have caused the Titans storyline to a complete screeching halt.

The two Hank and Dawn episodes along with the Doom Patrol and Jason Todd episodes feel like padding and filler for stretching out the season.

This episode as a stand alone episode was actually quite good. But, it is squeezed in as a filler episode that breaks the momentum that was built up in the last episode.

The scene with the kids and the coach in the locker room was heartbreaking to watch. No wonder Hank uses vices to deal with his trauma.

I’m usually impressed with the fight scenes and find the CGI almost bearable when watching Titans. Here the fight scenes were meh and the CGI with the car killing the mother and the brother was under average.

I like to have this background episodes but it felt out of place with the last episode. Not a good timing imho. We’ll see if it made sense in the next episode I guess.

If it was a Hawk and Dove tv show, it would have been a good episode. I liked the acting, the romance, the bromance and the emotion overall. Just felt out of place.

I LOVE this episode! Definitely my most favourite of the season so far!
Didn't like Hank and Dawn in the earlier side of the season, but this episode changed that.

The focus of this episode was a brave decision. Pulling the brakes on the main characters and plot to focus on these two. I didn't like it at first but by the time the B-street tragedy happened I was on board. A refreshing direction and glad the writers felt confident enough to do it. World building and character pieces are important and I'm glad when shows are given the freedom to go there.

Too much back story. I am not fond of the gimmick they are using. Have something exciting happen on one storyline then switch to another creating mini cliffhangers.

I don't know if it Dawn's butt (Minka Kelly) or a stunt butt stand in but it was outstanding.

This was good episode but it was a filler for Titans show. Seriously, sometimes I wish this show wasn't called Titans because we have here a episode focused in Hank and Dawn. It didn't make anything to push the season plot foward. It was nice to see how Hank and Dawn met each other. They deserve their own show but it wasn't the time to have a episode focused in them. It sidelined the main story and told a story about guesting characters. Anyway, aside the main problem, Hank and Dwan are really good characters. I really want some sort of show focus on them. They were very good in Titans and they need to sshow in another place. The other thing that bothered me was the special effects. The car accident was done horrible. Seriously, the effects were great at the beginning fo the show but now they are trash. They need to get the CGI of the beginning of the show. Overall, it was good episode but a really unecessary one. It didn't need to exist in a Titans show. It should have moved the main plot forward, not backwards.

Actually, it was a good filler

There’s not much action but it’s a well made backstory episode. That makes you want more of Hank and Dawn.

A really good episode but I have to agree with others it was not what I wanted to see at this point. I don't mind not jumping right back to the cliffhanger but giving us a complete different storyline for a whole episode really took me on the wrong foot. I would probably enjoyed this much more had I not been waiting at every point to go back to last episodes conclusion.

I don't know why the thought of Hank Hall being a Father John Misty fan is so funny to me, but it is.

this episode was just unnecessary, boring and just a way to fill the season
