Seeking to put an end to the conflict once and for all, the Autobot leader arranged a final duel between himself and Megatron, their troops able only to look on. After a furious battle, Optimus Prime stood triumphant over his nemesis, and a weakened Megatron goaded him to strike the fatal blow. Prime raised his blaster and...... A Combiner created by the magic of the long-forgotten Enigma of Combination, Victorion believes that her existence is owed not to simple chance, but to the will of Primus. Born into a world where there are no longer Autobots or Decepticons, she believes that she is the destined savior of the galaxy, something greater than the leaders of the past. Starscream has always been a villain. Being second-in-command to Megatron made leadership, always just out of reach, a tantalising prospect to the Decepticon, and for a long time he schemed, and struck, and failed, and then schemed again, never giving up on the dream of taking command. And then one day, the dream suddenly came true. Alongside Rodimus Prime and the Camien Mistress of Flame, Starscream now sits on Cybertron's ruling council, and has unexpectedly found his lust for power gone, replaced by a newfound sense of responsibility. With the Combiner Wars having begun, leadership is a heavy burden – one that has changed Starscream forever. Soaring through the skies, Starscream cuts out his engines, transforms, and for a few moments, simply falls. Just above Cybertron's tallest spires, he transforms again, and flies over the planet that is now his responsibility.
As the Combiner Wars rage, Caminus collapses to rubble, and Windblade, former Cityspeaker for the Titans, has had enough. With the planet's leader, the Mistress of Flame, having absconded to Cybertron and a council position, Windblade is no longer content to simply do her job and wait for diplomacy to win out – she is going to end the Combiner Wars herself before her planet suffers any more. Victorion, now the Ultimate Combiner, is forced to use her new powers to take on Trypticon. Back at the Primal Basillica, Optimus Prime entrusts the Matrix of Leadership to the one person he knows will never betray the Transformers.
Trypticon, closing in on the The Matrix of Leadership, wages war on Victorion. Awakened by Windblade and Emissary, Fortress Maximus returns to help our heroes before Cybertron is lost forever to Trypticon's destruction.
After rescuing Optimus Prime from certain doom, Fortress Maximus arrives to fight Trypticon. Elsewhere on the battlefield, Windblade forces Megatron to choose a side once and for all.
Fuelled by the ancient artifacts of the Primes, the unstoppable Trypticon prepares to deliver a final blow to the Transformers. Will Perceptor's dangerous plan work or will life on Cybertron cease to exist once and for all?
Megatronus hunts for the Requiem Blaster as we learn about its mysterious past. Elsewhere, Megatron and his team are also searching for the weapon, hoping to get to it first, when they encounter Grimlock and his fellow Dinobots.
Megatron awakens miles away to find a mysterious structure. Curious, he makes his way there, leaving his team to fend for themselves. Vulnerable without him, the team is on the brink of defeat at the hands of Volcanicus when another threat arrives hoping to destroy them.
Still without Megatron, the team must now fend off both Volcanicus and Predaking. Meanwhile, Megatronus arrives at the Well of Sparks to forge a new device that will help him accomplish his nefarious plan.
With our heroes cornered, Predaking demands Victorion hand over the Enigma of Combination. Inside the mysterious dome, Megatron finds the Requiem Blaster, but is confronted by a mysterious figure guarding it.
Hot on the heels of our heroes, Overlord and Rodimus Cron confront the Dinobots and gain vital information as to the team's whereabouts. Meanwhile, the team learns the tragic fate of one of the Thirteen.
Overlord and Rodimus Cron finally confront our heroes, while Optimus Primal makes a tough decision that changes the course of the battle. Alas, having found Megatron, Overlord is determined to get his revenge.
Megatron finally figures out Megatronus? plan, but fears it may be too late to stop him when Megatronus arrives to claim the Requiem Blaster for himself.
With the Requiem Blaster in his possession, Megatronus launches his now completed device, draining the sparks of Transformers everywhere. With their fate at risk, our heroes must fight Megatronus one last time.
To save their race, our heroes must destroy Megatronus's machine, but first they must fend off a possessed Rodimus Cron.
The final battle between Megatronus and the Transformers leads to unforeseen consequences that will have a startling impact on Cybertron and the entire Transformers universe.
