Rushed ending. Only if they didn’t waste 2 fucking hours of talking bullish in episode 4 & 5.
Well, well, well. Why, is this an Amish production of The Count of Monte Cristo or just the weirdest circle jerk I've been invited to?
I feel like an extra 25 or 30 minutes would have been better to draw out the drama a little more. Still, pretty good and I can't wait for season 2!
PSA - Explanation of what the two ladies on the phone are talking about in this episode:
You're a Hero... With a Shit Haircut. Best line of the episode.
Blaire's best episode so far. The interaction between her and Ted was great. Loved the Halloween outfits.
The Apple Pie igniting things is a great gag.
The visuals and story are amazing, but it sure got messy at the end there.
I think they were just trying to juggle too many tropes to make any real sense: ghosts, religion, racism, mental illness, loss, school bullying, ... seriously, there's only so much you can tackle in the same show.
The ending scenes are an absolute masterpiece of tension. I had goosebumps watching for the second time. So good.
That was one mind boggling finale
Out of nowhere they destroy the demons, that just before were able to fully control.
On top, I still believe they killed so many people that they are gonna go to jail for sure.
This ending is nice visually but the rest is truly disappointing
And what about Betty?
I can't even begin to put into words here but the prosthetic and makeup division is not only good, it is groundbreaking. The bodies on the later stages of radiation poisoning were absolutely terrifying, it literally gave me chills in the spine, when it shows the firefighter and the wife inside the plastic.
The Chernobyl disaster is something that has always been of interest to me. Even though this is a dramatization not a documentary, it seems to be striving for accuracy and realism in its depiction of the event. I watch a lot of Horror and I'm probably desensitized by that frequency. But this episode had my heart thumping as the plant workers and firefighters fought the disastrous explosion. It's scarier than any Horror film that I've seen in a long time.
This episode did a great job of recreating '80s Soviet Union Pripyat. The architecture and styles looked accurate. The most stunning recreation was the stifling bureaucracy and buck-passing that was no doubt present in the Soviet socialist state. So many layers of supervision. So many organizations and titles. This episode appears to accurately portray the dismal, incentive-sucking grind that citizens of a communist society experienced.
Looks like they watched the last of us and thought let's kinda do this but with Daryl in France! And honestly? It's the best shit they've put out in years.
WAY better than I expected, I had very low expectations, but I was laughing quite a bit.
FYI I'm Italian and my language sounds nothing like Portuguese, even more so at that speed ... you wouldn't understand shit!
If that was Spanish then yeah, you could totally grasp the gist of a conversation but in Portuguese it's unlikely.
Anyway, very tough episode!
Kept expecting Freddie to say "I am the eldest boy!!!"
I like how Verna offered every sibling a chance for a peaceful death, but they all chose to be their horrible selves until the end.
The episode is funny, interesting and a great way to stay in shape!
Fiona’s getting it from all ends, I’m impressed with her mental strength. I honestly support Sheila and Jody they both seem sweet where’s Karen just fucking sucks. As does Monica, they both seem to make the worst of the people around them. At least Carl gets what he wants and as much as I feel for Monica I can’t bring myself to like her character. Fuck Monica…
Another episode where I can't help but notice that Steve is the only character with common sense, presence of mind and the wits to act in an emergency.
If she charges by the load so can we xDD
And Carls says Beths moneymakes is on fire? lol
With Kevin it was so weird why he can't not even spell (read) wtf... did not like this
Karen pissing on his grave was so funny how she looks lol
Interesting take on this story, and kinda funny how the spoken French was so bad, felt very genuine.
Best episode of the show so far, the acting in this series is outstanding, specially from Carla Gugino, her best performance I've seen from her!
Fiona the 60 Year Old Has the Vag of a new born lol.
Pretty decend episode Frank and Debby are the best in this episode.
Of course Monica finds the squirrel fund and decides to ruin everything for the kids. If only she would take her meds instead of fucking up her children. It’s nice to see Fiona getting herself back, even if it’s only temporary bliss. Ian is such a good friend to Mandy.
Monica and Frank acting like ‘parents’ was disgusting. Ian was right about Karen, she’s honestly Lip’s downfall. My heart hurt for Fiona having to watch Debbie’s false happiness with her parents knowing that everything always turns sour. At least Monica know how much Fiona sacrificed herself due to Monica’s departure.
Frank giving Lip parenting advice was ironic. Poor Ian got his hopes up. I honestly love Kev, he’s such sweetheart
Poor Deb is traumatized from Harry’s passing. I knew Frank was a piece of shit but this proved it.
