Everything is happening fast in this episode, but to be honest, I still cried when Korra lost her bending. The scene with Aang was also really powerful
It's kinda sad to see everyone losing their bending
WOOOOW! This episode is so intense!
OMG!
I love this new look for Eda, you go girl
AND OMG AMITY AND LUZ
OMG
I was finally beginning to appreciate Hooty and then he had to be annoying again ugh
But the rest 100%
No spoilers, but we asked for gay and were rewarded.
Yeeaah, some of King's backstory
Republic city, is a war
OOOOOOOOOH sh*t just got real
A straight love triangle I did not need
The prom episode on cartoons always comes through
I love the gays
I do understand why the equalists are angry bc from only a few episodes in, we can already understand how much bending has been instrumentalized to cause pain. It's just... the method is a bit extreme. But it's interesting to see both points of view (equality vs liberty)
Let the angsty gay start
King is so small and adorable. Clearly my favourite character so far
This show tackles mental health and trauma in such a beautiful way. You can relate to the characters. Yes, it's not as good as the original show, but it's still a pretty good epilogue.
Rebecca Sugar is simply a creative genius. I need more stories told by her!
Well, that made me cry
You know what you should do? PROPOSE!
When you get dating advice from a lesbian.
I had missed the gayyys
I'm not gonna lie, I really enjoyed the movie. I recently watched the entire series, so it was a nice continuity. A lot of character building. Though it did seem like over playing the same script with a different villain. I understand the point that you have to deal with your traumas more than once, but it stills felt like too much of a déjà vu.
The best part of the story is clearly the songs. Rebecca Sugar is such a good composer, I am truly impressed. The show already had good songs, but this is one step further!
I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more gays, not going to lie though. I wish we could have seen more of Ruby and Sapphire or even Pearl with someone new.
And what about the other characters like Lars and Sadie? I want/need more!!
I wasn't expecting to be invested in the plot. I started watching this show because I was curious, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a kids show, yes, but it teaches some good lessons, and the story is interesting. But, I'm not used to watching show produced in the early '00, so I didn't expect sexism. I think it's annoying that girls, on top of fighting for the world, have to face and deal with sexism. Also, Azula isn't really a complex character, but more the representation of a hysteric teenager. It's true that Katara and Toph are interesting characters that are well written, but they still deal with sexist comments.
And also, isn't this show a bit racist?
Wow! The best part of this episode was definitely the fight between Zuko and Azula.
The alienation of the working class
Ouf, this show has had better filler episode. This one just falls into caricatures, that I have to say, are sexist. It's just not my type of humor, at all. I understand they wanted to do a recap of the show, but it could have been done better. Really. Also, that whole thing with Aang and Katara is starting to annoy me. I don't really ship them together, but they must be endgame lol. But I prefer her with Zuko
I love that they all have their journey with Zuko. It means he had something to teach them all, and vice-versa.
BUT OMG KATARA YOU WENT DAAAAAAARK, I'm loving her personal journey
Zuko, my child, stay good
Pretty funny episode, but the themes are deep. I think it's nice to have a discussion about anxiety even when you are a kid
OMG THAT ENDING IS SO COOL!
Don't get me started on Toph and Katara's fighting. I love them individually, but when they fight, it's always about some sexist thing. The conversation between Sokka and Toph about Katara acting like a mother was kinda deep so I like it. But the moral of the episode was kinda that money corrupts people and that's kinda really cliché
Really interesting episode. Now I know why the fire nation is so powerful. I finally understand their backstory
The way the story was told by Roku and Sozin was fascinating and made us understand more the dept of those characters
Who knew Avatar was going to tackle the same issues as Footloose
I'm here for Zuko's character development
Wow, what a great introduction to a show! This cartoon is so progressive and wholesome. I'm happy kids can grow up with such good representation of healthy interpersonal relationships. I'm still confused as to where the plot is going, excited to continue watching it
