It's finally over.
5 long years of disappointment, unnecessary drama and the most worthless episodes in the entire Star Trek universe.
And yet Discovery also had its strengths, unique episodes and a certain creativity.
As an "old white man" I missed the philosophical and ethical depth that Star Trek stood for for me. But times change and this series also had its moments.
I see Discovery more as a Star Trek anthology series and so it fits again.
Thank you for Strange New Worlds and thank you that we had 5 years of Star Trek even if it wasn't quite what we expected.
Great series, every episode is "on point", great setting, great season finale that ties up almost all the loose ends. Someone really knows their craft.
Most boring season so far, as tough as chewing gum. Somehow the series has deteriorated massively and exchanged its pioneering spirit for a depressive espionage character study. The eternally aging actors are deeply tiring and it slowly becomes more than unbelievable that they are still on active duty in space after decades. At least after 10 episodes we finally find out what happened to the asteroid.
It was so nice to see them reunited after so many years
