Man, this show really is my guilty pleasure. I'm usually not a fan of these teen/high-school dramas but there is just something about this show and it's characters that has me falling in love with it every time.
I'm not sure they quite resolved the murder investigation in an entirely satisfactory way - a little too simple, in my opinion, although maybe there will be repercussions next season - but the personal drama stuff was great and got me in the feels multiple times. Looking forward to season 4 and I hope that's not the last we've seen of Nadia, Lu, and Carla!
i love the episodes where the group is confined to one location. it brings out the dialog of everyone perfectly.
That ending! I'm treasuring every episode more and more knowing that its the final season. Man, it's a rollercoaster. I love it!
Not sure what to make of Tegan, I like her (a lot) but I don't trust her (at all!), thank you Nate, for that one.
I'm fairly certain that Annalise isn't the death the FBI is investigating in the flash forwards. No way in hell that AK would turn out to be an informant for them, right? So my guess is that Nate is dead as well. But what the F happens to Connor! My mind is lost.
At this point, Annalise actually being Michaela's mother would have been a decent twist....
Okay... Cora did good. I don't think Tegan is the bad guy, well I hope she's not.
Frank doesn't want to be alone, he has to be sure what he says, poor Bonnie deserves better than that.
Michaela and Asher are mean to be, I know Gabriel is HOT, but come on, Asher is your guy.
I'm so confused with Annalise and Solomon. What's up with these two? There is more on that story.
Connor is a good guy, he needs to realize that.
This might just have been the best episode of the entire series. There was a lot of tension, a lot of guessing and an incredible twist that I for one did not see coming. I have a lot of new theories already which will keep me busy until the comeback in April. I want to dive into my theories a bit for whoever is reading this. I think Gabriel opened the door for Wes (or Laurel, not Asher as is implied) and that they left together somewhere (it wouldn't surprise me if the two of them are somehow working together in bringing AK down). I think Asher talked to Bonnie and left her place, once he did Bonnie called Frank and sent him after Asher to 'deal with him'. Bonnie loved Asher once but she loves AK more, she always has and she wouldn't throw her under the bus, she made that clear to Nate, so as much as it would probably pain her, she would use Frank to silence Asher. Tegan, okay we saw her in the 'flash forward' asking about the body and her client. No way in hell she would represent Frank but she would represent Ollie (who we also saw in one of those flashes confessing to as he stated it 'being the murderer' which he would believe himself to be, considering that the victim is Asher and he did hit him over the head). This all makes sense in my head but I'm sure the writers have some major twist for us in store.
THAT ENDING!!! I AM SHOOOOOOOK
Is there any historical piece of evidence that Vikings voted for their king by throwing colourful rocks into a barrel of water?
Vikings turning into a WTHITH series wasn't what I expected when I first started watching it back when season 1 just came out. What does WTHITH stand for you wonder? Why The Hell Is This Happening
Why the hell is Lageartha dying in such a weird, uninteresting way that just leaves me thinking "wait, what, why"
Why the hell is there a plot involving Ivar's dead wife that is now ressurected and SOMEHOW ended up in Ukraine and SOMEHOW she met prince Oleg and told him all about Ivar and if it's not actually Freydis then it makes no sense and is unbelievably stupid
Why the hell does the Flatnose guy that Edge plays suddenly does a complete 180 and saves Bjorn when his goal all along was to kill him
Why the hell does the guy that saves Bjorn that looks like he's 45 say that he's too young to remember Ragnar
Why the hell there isn't a single character from season 1 alive anymore (and played by the same actor)
Why the hell there hasn't been one scene involving King Alfred this season
Why
Fuck me I'm glad that this is the final season. Let it rest already.
This midseason crap is annoying. I expected this to be the end of the series but it's apparently not.
On one hand I'm pleased it is not as there's still more room for Vikings but on the other hand we lost a couple of key-characters that will, once again, leave the rest of the series in a sort of vaccuum.
I agree the historical inaccuracies in this episode were very large, which is unfortunate especially for a channel that claims to e about true History. Then again this show has had many historical flaws and it survived despite of it. The logistics of flanking over the mountains and returning to the beach to deal a final blow don't add up for me at all. It seemed a too plot related decision to do it like this even though thye could have easily kept it in the realm of the "supernatural" with the intimate beach scene. Or maybe that's just what happened... I'm not quite sure.
It seems that it's slowly falling into the Game of Thrones trap of ending things on a nonsensical note and having things happen that seem out of place. Let's hope it doesn't not happen.
What a poor ending... really rushed. So much preparation for this moment and it was over for 2 seconds. What the hell?! I am super disapointed. Nothing in this season is making sense now. Please delete this episode and re-do it...
OK, so you want to tell me that the Russians went to invade Norway by using a giant armada consisting of hundreds of ships that are driven by bucket wheels for some reason. They also have landing crafs D-Day-style.. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???
Please, History Channel, it's time do delete that "History" part from your brand name.
That twist though! I really thought Bonnie had done it and after Gabriel saw that woman I was sure it was Laurel. I already shouted at my screen, cursing the damn girl but that twist, O my! This is why I love this show. Sad to see Asher go, even though there's only four episodes left... he really was the glue that brought the group together.
Now Bonnie, Frank and AK are divided from the 'kids' and I'm curious to see if they'll end up ratting each other out more and more. Either way, I'm still rooting for Bonnie. She deserves a happy end and NOT with Frank. She's right, when Laurel gets back Frank will leave. Again! Can't believe it's almost over :(
THREECHUM, THREECHUM, THREECHUM, THREECHUM, THREECHUM
This episode had so much going on, from the start of the Troy/Abed feud to the return of the Air Conditioning Repair school, that the Subway subplot, which was truly inventive, got the shaft.
Hasn't anyone noticed that the Meow Meow Beenz app was used identically for a Black Mirror episode? It's basically the same plot but treated differently
Man that ending! You can't get electrocuted inside a vehicle. That's a thing, right? Like, we covered it a few episodes ago on Station 19.
Ok. Let's go by pieces.
Ortho guy (Link? Yeah, right?) Looks so much better with the new haircut. Like, SO much better. Still I can't with the writers trying to turn him into a love interest for Meredith. He low key looks like he could be her brother and it creeps me out.
The other ortho guy and Schmidt? I want to ship them, but I just hate Schmidt so much. He annoys me to no end and I can't stand him. TBH I don't really like any of the current interns. Well, maybe except for that one dude that was in the army or something? But he's never really around. I'd ship him with the Asian ortho guy.
Teddy has basically the worst timing ever. Girl, what you even doing? I seriously hope Owen doesn't marry her just for the sake of it. That'd be beyond stupid (I'm really digging that they're trapped in an elevator with Amelia rn, though. I live for the drama LOL)
DeLuca and Meredith? Plain UGH. I get that it kinda has a certain symmetry to her relationship with Derek (the attending and the resident. Or did they start going out when she was still an intern? It's been 15 seasons, my memory is not that good), and if forced to choose between Andrew and Link, I'd go with Andrew, but I still don't like it. Bring back the dude from last season, please. He was perfect.
Deluca: I love you
Meredith: Read 22:30 PM :white_check_mark::white_check_mark:
FINALE THOUGHTS:
ONE: In labor Teddy is just hilariously awesome. :D And I’m conflicted about Owen's “declaration.” Because I want Teddy to have what she wants, but I also know what she wants is bad for her. I’m not sold on Owen’s “change.”
TWO: Jackson and Maggie need to breakup. They are just terrible together, period. Not having respect for your partner is the lowest of all lows. There’s no going back now.
THREE: Everything about Meredith and Deluca feels contrived, which I get, they need drama for next season. But it’s still not making me feel or care about them at all.
FOUR: I am 100% on board the Amelink ship, though I wasn’t mad they ended it. A, because they were civil and mature about it which is a reason I love them even MORE now. And B, it’s clearly not the end. I think she just needs time alone first, and I encourage that.
the fuck did I just watch? yeah, of course we’re russians play with cow shit and everyone looking like a gloomy goblins. also, the whole family singing Elton John song? really? in homophobic country? haha, funny, tell another one. the last scene was Emmy worthy, but overall the episode is so boring.
Forget the plot of the episode, WHAT was up with those weird transitions between scenes? Did a 5th grader edit this for his school project?
I agree that this was kinda unnecessary. I never felt that Villanelle's origins were something the show needed to explore. What I liked the most about this was her dynamic with Bor'ka; Villanelle with kids is always fun to watch. But still, this did feel like a filler episode designed specifically to get Jodie some nominations come award season.
Honestly... this felt a bit unnecessary.
Like this episode was built up just so Jodie could get many awards nominations. Didn't add up much to the story, at least for me.
And also, where's Eve? lol Feel bad for Sandra. Don't think that's fair.
Giving a 3 just because of the final scene, really great acting, but other than that... it's a big NO for me.
The most insane eposide in the whole series!!
So far this is the episode of the year.
This episode was soo weird ! I loved it !
This show just gets better and better with every episode
I just wanna stop feeling sad.
This one was not so much funny, but it was heartbreaking! Especially the comedy club scene, it shows a lot of deep messages: the most important one to me is how people nowdays can hurt anyone and then say it was just "sarcasm".
And the sea scene! SAD:(
OMG this last episode was my favorite. That last minute i was cover in tears, Brandy barking and Lisa waiting for Tony say good night..
So emotional..
I love After Life
Blimey. After Life 2 is another deep emotional journey through Tony's mind. He keeps trying. And even though he thinks he is a scorpion, he'll always be a frog. And that ending was brutal, fuck me. He almost did it. Fucking Hell. I'm glad he didn't.
"I'll take Groundhog Day."
